I can barely afford my MINI...you don't see tons of options and upgrades on mine. I'm just happy I am able to join the MINI community soon! Getting to do a little MINI stalking during the process is just a quirky perk, IMHO.
Let's keep this forum friendly...there are other forums out there where you can talk smack...not on this one.

Of course I've called. But I've also doe my research to understand the process. I understand how long certain stages take, and know there's no point in calling every day. And even if I was so impatient and thought there was the slightest change something could change hourly by hour, is that going to get the car here faster? No.
And really, i don't see anything wrong with the answer the ask-mini rep gave, and it really depends on the tone. I've had them come on, look up my info, and say, "let's see, I see you called last a week ago, what status was your car in then? Yup, I'm seeing no changes since then, it's still just showing as in production.". Great, question answered. No need for me to treat them like crap and make sure they know I make more money than they do.
And again, you may think you're entitled, but I promise you, you're not. It's like respect. Respect has to be earned. Older people who think they can be cantankerous jackasses towards everyone and demand respect just because they're old? Sorry. Doesn't work for me. Neither does entitlement.
For every person who feels entitled, there are 100 more up the food chain who would disagree.

I don't need your respect and neither does Charliesheena.
Your 50 and then 100 people are probable either living under a bridge or are in the unemployment line.
There must be a difference between being entitled to some level of respect when calling ASK MINI and us having to treat the operator with respect when being made to feel as if we have no right to call. As I said before I got to talk to some very nice people there but there are some smart asses there as well.
The problem with smart *** operators is the fact that there are so many spineless youngsters in the world that think those smart mouthed operators deserve more respect then the person doing the calling.

Agreed! And didn't mean any hard feelings. I will say, I respect you for choosing a really sweet car. I wish they offered that color in the Countryman.

I got lucky with Pumpkinhead, it was supposed to be Laguna Green (discontinued) then it was to be Laser Blue (discontinued) and then they released to Spice Orange for the first time on the ClubmanS. I am so glad the other colors were discontinued. A car named Pumpkinhead being painted Spice Orange makes more sense.

Where are Hawkling and Winston? Better yet, where is Tombarra? It hasn't shown up on my tracking chart yet, even though it says its next port is Manzanillo on 6/19???? Shouldn't the ship have gone through the panama canal by now? I"m panicked! WINSTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Officially" at the VDC
My MINI is "officially" at the VDC! It doesn't say which one, but I'm pretty sure it arrived in Charleston on Friday. My expected delivery date is 6/22 I'll contact my MA on Monday and see if I can get a firm pick up date so that I can schedule my window tinting.

Very nice. Spice orange is a cool color. Also, cool photo. Crockodile hunter would be proud of the rare photo of one mini sniffing the other in photo 3 where it appears Punkin is sniffin Flipper.
