My car was on the Torrens and it arrived at Irvine MINI today! Picking it up tomorrow at 3:00! The long wait appears to be over! Three exclamation points. Think I'm excited?

 

@riveratsx4 - mine's from Crevier too, but I was told Friday...

My paranoid mind is running wild--sure hope the 2 day gap between mine and yours isn't because mine had some sort of damage issue on the ride across the pond...

 

WW's site now shows my Mini as discharged. I guess it should show up with your car any day now.

It was already going to be a long week. Now (although I'm happy that the delivery date is inching closer...) it's going to crawl at a snails pace...

....How far is Irvine from Santa Ana? ...can you drive around between those points and try and locate my car....I have a since she is feeling lost right now.

 

Lol, Irvine and Santa Ana are right next to each other. That's why I'm kinda surprised Irvine got its cars before Santa Ana. Shouldn't be long now.

 

Since the dealers never seam to have any timely details. Maybe they will go to work tomorrow and the cars will just have magically appeared at Crevier overnight. Dear Lord....hear my prayer

 

Hi all.. congrats to the lucky ones who will be driving their minis real soon. I called the 866 number tonight and my CR MCS is in the body shop due to be complete on 12/7. Does that mean that it's done with production? Ordered on 11/19 so I'm hoping for a January Christmas present.

 

Yes, their estimated completion dates seem to be pretty accurate. I've tracked three cars through the production and shipping process in the last three months (long story) and all three were completed when they said they would be. Once they go into production it's a pretty routine process. If there's going to be a delay, it appears that it will be in getting it into production in the first place. If it's completed on 12/7, it should make it to the dock by the 9th so you can start looking at ships that sail to your area on dates after the 9th. Mine was completed on 11/10 and got on a ship on 11/11.

 

Disregard previous!! My car is on the Taiko, left Bremerhaven early this morning, in and out of Southampton tomorrow, ETA Baltimore 12/16!! The goal was to have it before Christmas, looking good!!!

What is Crevier? If you don't mind me asking, what part of the country is your Mini going to?

 

Our schedule was pretty good:

- Ordered on Halloween (it even has Halloween colors!)
- Was built on Nov 15
- Left Southampton on Nov 18
- Arrived in NJ on Dec 1 (after heading to Belgium first :( )
- Arrived at dealer on Dec 5 (sooner than I thought)

So tantalizingly close now. Will pick it up on Saturday!!

Update: my MA called and I'll pick it up tomorrow...and he's coming in on his day off to do it!!

 

Crevier Mini is a dealership out here in Irvine south California.

To be more especific it is fairly near Los Angeles.

 

Now the hard part begins! At least for me, once my car was complete, just knowing that it existed out there drove me crazy! LOL. Hoping the Christmas rush makes your wait a little more bearable.

 

My owners louge now tells me an estimate delivery date of 12/08/2011.

I am not sure how accurate this can be, Can anyone let me know.

My owners lounge still says en route on the ship, but people on this board tell me the ship, Torrens, docked in California last Friday and it's either in customs or on a car carrier...sigh, it's maddening. I wish I knew exactly where my baby was....

 

What is the 866 number? Can anyone call it that has a Mini on order?

 

My OL says the same thing. I am hoping I get a call today that its at Crevier.

 

MY CAR IS ON A BOAT AND ON ITS WAY! Finally! I'll have it about 2 weeks hopefully.

There's a lot of info you can use to track it once you know your production number/VIN. FWIW, I used the the site http://www.marinetraffic.com to track my ship once I knew which one it was.

 

Jack is on the Don Juan! It's scheduled to arrive in NJ on December 15th!
