Help. Horizon Blue or Pepper White

I'm close to picking a color. Horizon Blue with White Roof and White Bonnet Stripes or Pepper White with Black Roof and Black Bonnet Stripes. Or should I keep ondering this dilemma for another year. Need HELP. Why is this such a problem for me. It sounds like I'm 18yo. I'm 47.

Well you can have a more vast of stripes color options if you do the pepper white. That is if colored stripes are important to you, I think they are cool personally. But the Horizon blue is a solid color if you just want white bonnet stripes .

Go with the pepper white, black roof and black bonnet stripes.

What about ice blue?!

I LOVE the Horizon Blue with black roof/stripes. Pepper white is also awesome with black... but I've heard of pepper white staining easily.

That is funny, I think the color is very important. I like my pepper white and it just looks clean, but when it gets dirty you see everything on the car. Unless your OCD like me and constantly wipe your Mini down I would shy away from the pepper white. I've also had the misfortune of getting two door dings but because it is white they are kinda hard to see. Good luck in your decision and take into account if you are going to get after market wheels. I wish i would have.

The Horizon Blue and black roof/stripe combo is a great combo also, and it would be a lot easier to keep clean.

My '10 MCS hardtop was PW/B w/black bonnet stripes and black crown spokes. I didn't order it but I was very happy with that combination. Even so, I love my '11 HZB/B MCS hardtop that much more. If I ordered horizon blue, I would have gotten a white roof with white bonnet stripes. I'm pretty sure I will get black bonnet stripes eventually but I don't know since it has silver infinite streams. I have to say though that my wife and I just love horizon blue and can't stop commenting how nice it is. If I could order any color it would be the JCW WC 50's green with a white roof. Too bad it will never happen. Good luck with your choice and which ever way you go, you can't lose.

I think the horizon blue looks neat but kinda dull at the same time.

I like PW/B best because it is easier to make it look more aggressive - if you're into that...i.e., black wheels, aero grill, black wing, etc..

But, you can see what colour I went with

To me, Pepper white has too much yellow in it (unlike Alpine white that Bmw has used for years). Mine is Horizon Blue and i get tons of compliments on the color. Its just a personal preference kind of thing. I never thought that I would get one with a black roof, but I like the fact that it matches the sun roof. I love the way you can outfit a Mini with so many different colors- not just on the outside, but on the inside as well. So many cars now have such limited interior colors, or are all one color. With a Mini, you can have four different interior colors going on at the same time.

PW/B...the white isn't stark and +1 for easy visual mods...but then again we have 2 PW/B at the moment so I admit to bias.

I love both colors, but I am more partial to Horizon Blue with the black roof. I say go with Pepper White and Black top... I wanted a panda car so badly, but they didn't have one with suitable options while I was shopping. Ended up with Laser Blue, which I still love, but every time I see a panda a feel a little pang of longing. Get which one makes you happiest when you look at it!

On the other hand, I have seen some really awesome looking offset thin stripes on PW with white roofs...

So Mark, which did you do? Both?
My first MCS was PW/B, with black bonnet stripes and checkerboard accents. I loved that car and would have probably kept it forever.
My new baby (on order) is HZB/Black roof. I'm doing silver bonnet stripes and a silver/black and white UJ on the sunroof.
I, for one, don't think you can go wrong with either one .

I also waivered on color forever before going with Midnight Black. If it's between PW and HB, personally, I'd go for PW.

Doh! Sorry didn't realize how old this was.

I think the PW with black roof is a classic combination. I love blue cars (I have three blue MINI's), but I'm not a fan of the Horizon Blue.

Had my Horizon Blue Clubman with black bonnet stripes and roof for 2 weeks now and get TONS of compliments on the color!! Stays clean looking longer. Noticed at the dealer a black with white stripes and the stripes had a mottled look(not pretty). Maybe this condition is inherent to the white color (unstable?) Just saying...

Mark, You sound like me. You're 47 going on 18. I'm 59 going on 19.

Thinkiing of getting rid of the suv my daughter drives, giving her my 09 MC and getting me a new MCS. Other daughter lives in NYC for now, so no car needed for her. But down the road I'm sure she will say I owe her one if I give my MC to the other.

So at this point I am trying to figure out colors. My MC is Sparkling Silver. Not available on the MCS anymore. And soon to go away completely.

Anyway, I would be more inclined to get Pepper White/Black Roof. Actually I like the White Silver but was disappointed when I saw that Black Lounge Leather was not available with White Silver. (That makes no sense to me as it seems like a very normal color configuration.) So I may go with Pepper White/Black myself. Or maybe go with White Silver and get the Punch Leather seat...or just get the regular leatherette. Decisions! Decisions!

It's just me...but I think Horizon looks great but I wonder if I may be tired of it after a while. And I don't have that wonder when I think of White Silver or Pepper White. I gotta say, I would consider another Sparkling Silver if it was available.

The other thing I wonder about is tires. I wonder if the ride is noticably harsher with the optional 205/45/17 all season runflats compared to the standard 195/55/16 all season runflats. Anyone know??

Isn't it fun being a teenager again?

Just my two cents...

Is the Horizon blue a standard color? If not, my suggestion is to get a standard color and spend the money on options that will add to the performance of the vehicle or your comfort.
