My estimated delivery date just moved from 4/24/2011 (which obviously didn't happen) to 4/30/2011...hope it's right this time.

 

Oh man...6 more days for delivery? That's a long time.

 

Well...4/24 was an "interesting" date anyway. It got to Brunswick, GA on 4/20 and has to travel to Austin, TX.

Not to mention that 4/24 was a Sunday.

MA told me on 4/20 that it would be 7-10 days likely, which means that 4/30 is in that window...just at the end of it.

The dealership had 9 MINIs dropped off today. All with buyers waiting. They're gonna be a bit busy.

OH... for the heck of it, I just typed my VIN number into the tracker and its shows my car's status as Customs Release already! It wasn't even due into Baltimore till Monday.

So does that status mean it's off the boat? I have no idea. And then how many days from there did your cars take before getting on a truck to the dealer?

 

Hmmm....I wonder how it got there so fast. That's at least 2 days early if it made it through the VDC already. Maybe they put jet engines on the ship.

 

Mine said the same thing 2 days before it got to the port where it was being offloaded, they must do that ahead of time. Though I haven't seen my car yet so I can't even really verify it exists

 

I think they designed the entire system to encourage us to become manic/depressives. While my car is showing that it is En Route via the OL and ASK-MINI, my tracking attempts has never been found when I entered the Vin.

So for those of us waiting on a May delivery of our MINIs what do you think the Vegas odds are that they will renew/extend the 1 Free Option promo?

= YES I think the promo will be renewed
= NO I doubt the promo will be renewed (i.e. it will end Monday May 2nd)

I'm hoping they extend the offer especially when my car has been ready, they just had to leave it at the VDC a little longer than expected due to too many cars going to the dealer so it would have been here yesterday or today. With the roadster and coupe coming out in the fall and new model in 2012 let's hope they push the offer to try and move more of the current models so i'll go with the optimistic

I haven't bought anything for my Mini yet, except for the Zippee shade. It's hot in San Jose/Hayward today...so I'm going to put it on later.

 

I am on the exact time line so far as you (order date, completion of car etc.). I suspect I may be delayed at VAC as I have the driving lamps and a "free" set of mudflaps being intstalled. I am keeping busy with accumulating mod pieces.
