The dealer gave me a call today, and my car is at the vehicle distribution center in SC

It turns out that I was on Porgy after all. I had been following California Highway daily, which was the wrong ship. That means I'll get my car almost a week sooner than expected, woohoo.

 

That's great Neil_J!! I'm envious and anxious to hear how much you love your Mini!!

Mine is still listed as awaiting transport and has been for a week - since I put down my deposit and started tracking. I did get the build sheet late last week which changed the status to Priority One. I'm really hoping to hear our new CM is on a ship to Baltimore this week.

 

Well, mine has been sitting at the dealer waiting for its MSO since June 2nd. This is ridiculous. I think that they broke something and are stalling to fix it.

I've been really disappointed in my dealer and I don't even have the car yet. They have had almost no contact with me, and when I call them (which has been infrequent) they act like I'm inconveniencing them or give me a terse, arrogant response.

Eff em. I getting close to asking for my deposit back.

 

I think I'd be calling the sales manager and threatening to do just that.

Just like everything, there are some bad ones out there. I really hope this works out for you and you get your car. Please let us know how this shakes out.

 

If you're ordering the Countryman, don't those get built in Austria now? Either way, here's to a safe voyage.

The do get built in Austria. My MA sent it to me over the weekend. I've poured over it 5 times just drinking it in!

 

Went to dealer. Did not need to be as extreme as I feared. I just asked to see my car, and they took me down and let me test drive it. I think they were using the MSO as an excuse because they were busy with lots of newly delivered cars. I guess I just wasn't a squeaky enough wheel.

I'm picking it up on Thursday. YAY!

First mod waS the Stubby antenna,haven't installed the Black Grill trim,Platypus and Scangauge 2 just yet.

 

Forgot to mention... After I arrived to my friends shop, about 25miles away from the dealer, my car began to Cry sitting under the sun. It's those dam leaking washer nozzles and I don't have any kind of heat shield under the hood scoop. I'll ask them for one soon and if they don't I'll just let it melt and have them give me a new one.

 

I am Waiting for my 2011 ClubMan S. Can you tell me a little about the " leaking washer nozzles" please. Thank you.

 

I've seen a few members here have the same problem with there 2011's, and while chatting with my friends in front of the car, next thing you know it's crying.
I remember one of the members bringing in the car to the dealer and they added Valve Checks if I recall that's what's it's called.
It would be Very annoying if you wash the car and it happens. It leaves streaks running down.
If you have Bonnet stripes like one said, it would definitely leave marks on them.

Tint looks great. Did you do the sunroof too?

 

I'm doing the tint now. No time yesterday. It's fun but I hate the break in part. after break in is when the Real Fun starts.

Literally just finished installing Black grill trim and LLumar 35% Ceramic tint all around including both Roof's but not windshield. Maybe a Clear UV tint for windshield.
Don't know where to mount the scangauge.

 

Looks terrific! I'm really contemplating blacking out my chrome. Are you going to do the headlights too? What'd you use?

 

Don't know about blacking out yet, I really wanted to but might do other mods first.

 

Anybody know what the lights are for next to the reverse lights in the rear bumper?
