Derk, do you have paddle shifters??
I'm in front of my JCW right now and its chrome too. But at least they are also giving me the premium package credit and 0.9% for 60months still.

You should've at the very least had the option to choose between the 0.9 financing and the package deal with the tiered financing. My dealer was nice and gave me both 0.9 AND the free package. I got comped my Black Jack rear view mirror cover, but that's it.

Also, I don't have paddle shifters... 6 speed all the way, sorry.

Thanks! I already put maybe 75 miles on it tonight. And it was pure joy. Love the car.

My dealer gave me the package option and the 0.9% for 60months without any hassle, but I got nothing else, not even mats.

I actually do need a new keychain too, and I might order the JCW license plate frame from Ebay for $38 free shipping. But I just ordered the Weathertech mats though they are kinda pricey, but I've heard they are really good.

Once I left the dealership! Not extremely happy with them but I have my car and I'm extremely happy with it!

(although I do have my first service appointment...... the grille surround was not attached correctly so one side is loose )

Awesome! So did yours have the JCW wheel caps or did you end up with the MINI caps like a previous poster?

Here's a better look at the wheels, please ignore the dirtiness! This is after 350 miles of driving through the rain!

And some more pics! None with the white mirror caps, I switched them to carbon fiber at the dealership right away!

At Lake Taconic or Taghanik or however they spell Taconic at that particular place (same as wheel pic)

Driver's side, lower trim piece popping out? That's the exact problem that's being rectified on my car this week. It seems like someone in the factory isn't installing the grille correctly. If it's the same problem, the tab that the chrome clips in to on the grille is bent back or broken off. They should be replacing both the grille and the lower trim on your car. I had my dealer order the 2010 black trim and told him I would pay for the upper piece.

Very nice looking car either way. One hell of a comparison to your Xterra. Also, BRGII is really growing on me. Any plans for stripes?

Edit: Also, why are your mirror caps black? Did you order CF?

Yes, same exact spot! I'll see what they say on the 26th. If it turns out to be broken like yours I'll probably go the same route asking for the black.

Thanks! Yea it sure as hell feels different too, went to the drive-thru ATM and instead of being level with them I felt like I was laying on the floor and reaching up

No stripes for me! I like it naked

Mirror caps are carbon fiber, I bought a set online and replaced them right at the dealership.

Very nice. I swapped out my antenna and installed the platypus license plate holder right at the dealer, myself. You went a little further with your first mod.

One final update in the chrome grill surround nonsense:

The dealer replaced the whole deal this morning in about 20 minutes. I paid only for the upper piece, which came out to something like $43 with tax.

Before:

After:

WORTH IT. Next up is either red or black headlight rings.

P.S. Ignore the uneven gap between bonnet and bumper. I fixed that after taking pictures.

Well, the 1-866-ASK-MINI recording is reporting that my MINI is complete and awaiting transport! So how do I get info from here? How do find out which ship it's on and the port at which it will be arriving? I'm taking delivery in Michigan. I notice on this forum that others are tracking their boat. How do I do that? I getting excited....

Independence II - Yes!!

Finally, my car shows up on the WW site as assigned to the Independence II. Thought from the schedule that this would be the ship it gets on - good to see it show up on the WW Logistics search.

Loading on Friday (the ship is scheduled into Southampton in about 3 hours). Baltimore ETA on May 30.

Let's hope for some June incentives!!!
