Yeah, the dealer snapped the pic and sent it to me - and yeah, I'm going crazy. Only fifteen more hours before I can, um, touch it!

I just picked up my MCa at the dealership today. It had been waiting for me since Tuesday, but I didn't have a chance to pick it up until today. Definitely worth the two month wait! Now if I could just stop those pesky bugs from killing themselves against my car...

I've already bookmarked the live Panama Canal webcams, so I'm ready to make popcorn, sit back and watch the Madame Butterfly squeeze her fat butt through the canal locks.
(There's something about the idea of a 650-foot-long, 28-thousand-ton freighter being named Madame Butterfly that really tickles me!)

ok...just got a call from my MA. He just confirmed that my baby has arrived. He believes it will be with them by Tuesday. Since he's off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (bummer), we agreed to meet on Thursday. He said he'd call me again on Monday to confirm as soon as he gets more information on the transport/delivery schedule.

Did you ask your MA if it's indeed scheduled for your Mini to come in on Tuesday? So VDC will be ready, and the trucking company can haul it over? It'll take them probably 6 to 7 hours to drive it from Oxnard to Bay Area to drop off the Minis. So this assumes the Mini didn't sustain any damage during the journey from Southampton. And the VDC process it on Monday, and release the vehicle for car carrier on late Monday or super early Tuesday. Only then, the Mini can get to them by Tuesday.
I talked to my MA on Friday, he told me it usually takes 5 days for the Mini to get to them. I read in other posts, other people got them in 5 days as well. I'm going to call my MA on Monday to check with him again.
But it sucks that your MA is actually OFF when you can actually pick up your Mini. I E-mailed the Sales Manager at Pleasanton, and told him that regardless if the MA is off or not, I will be there to pick up my Mini when it is ready. And he needs to get somebody to work with me.

I'm a bit skeptical about the Tuesday delivery too. I'd like to think he's just getting my adrenaline pumped up and get me excited. At this time, I'm just happy he made the effort to confirm that my baby is at the VDC. Even if it turns out to be accurate, I won't be able to make it that day anyway.

I had the same issue. The Mini I wanted is pretty basic, not a whole lot of options. So I finally decided to goto the custom route. For waiting time, see my signature.

Test drove a new 4X4 in San Antonio Tx last Month....My wife said I'm obsessed with Mini fever NOW!( she is right) Would like to know more about Mini Club in SA and Asheville NC our new home destination.
