Do you have the paddle shifters???? That should do alright then - you can alter the shifting points that way! Not sure if you'd be able to get your RPMs up for launch though, but should still do a good job!

 

I have to get used to the idea of paddle shifters. It also has steptronic shifting so I can use the stick to shift without sliding it into gear. I think its cool because I can pretend I still have a manual car. Once I get used to how all the new toys work I'll decide what I want to do.

 

If you like adreniline rushes, and don't mind spinning out of control from time to time, you'd have a blast.

Here's me with my '04 MINI after running....autocross is probably the #1 reason for me getting another MINI. I miss it SOOOO much...I'm not even really competitive. I just love running...

How are you getting all these codes? I had to call ASK MINI for any info and they didnt' give me any codes.

 

I taught my MA how to do screen shots of my order! Even though ASK-MINI doesn't use the codes anymore, the codes are still on the order.

 

That's awesome! I don't want to bother my MA with this stuff. He really just handles internet stuff. It was kind of a fluke that I ended up with him as my MA so I don't want to be a pain to him. Besides, I get enough info when I call ASK MINI. I really wish I had no access to info. Then I wouldn't be obsessing over it so much.

 

haha - Tim has been appreciative of the things that I've shown him. When Snape catches a boat, I'm going to teach Tim how to track a boat, too!

 

Oh, and I LOVE the info and the access to it. Trust me - you will look back upon this with SUCH fondness!!! It's a PIA now, but it's an experience you will remember.

 

I ordered my Cooper S 4/28. They gave me a production slot for a car they had on order. According to ASK-MINI my car went into production 4/29 and the scheduled completion date is 5/7. Of course I had to make things more complicated so I called my MA yesterday and asked if I could add rear fog lights and an anthracite headliner to the order (why, yes I have spent too much time on NAM). She said it wasn't too late which surprised the hell outta me. I just called ASK-MINI (had to make sure I give you guys the full picture, not for me ) and my car has entered the body shop.

 

the OL still says "on order," but when I just called ASKMINI, the woman told me it has gone into production and will finish on May 12th. EEEEE!!!!!!

I thought it was going to go into production on the 12th. What a great surprise!

Yeah, I was shocked and honestly I still kinda don't believe she was able too. Maybe their in-factory tracking system is as good as the owner's lounge is bad, I'll just have to wait and see.
