Weeks 15 - 20 (Apr 5 – May 15, 2010) Support Group
Yes, it works on Firefox. I have a Mac and usually use Safari. I keep Firefox around because I frequently come across things that don't work to well on Safari.
Start here and click all users under track and trace (bottom right) or drill down from the Customer Centre menu.
http://www.2wglobal.com
Then proceed with the entering at least the last 7 digits of your VIN in the cargo ID field (Furthest right). Note: you can also use the % character as a wild card to search for all MINI's on the ships WMWML% etc.
Also don't try and bookmark the track and trace it will expire. Always go from the main page.
Once you know the ship name then you can go to the schedules page, (also in the Customer Centre menu) and search by vessel. Keep checking that for the latest schedule which may change due to weather or other delays.

Wanna,
No it doesn't look like it's even gotten to Southampton yet. Someone on another board (sacrastically) hinted about the ash cloud hindering the ship. But it seems like other ships are sailing without incident. I don't know. Maybe its a sign.

gru-, what is your MA telling you these days? Mine sent me mail yesterday stating that my mini has been turned over to the carrier; not on the way but turned over to them for pickup & transport I reckon. She said she would let me know once it was on the way.
I just received an e-mail this morning from my MA stating that my MINI got picked up last night and that it is on its way to Texas. She said it is really likely to get here by tomorrow of Friday morning. She has even already made plans with the guys that need to do the checkout & cleanup to turn it around so that we can settle business that Friday afternoon! Gosh I hope that carrier service makes it here by tomorrow!
I really can't believe how quick things progressed since it arrived to VDC/VPC last Friday. I figured it would take longer there at VDC and longer for it to get trucked. Then based on other mails I was telling myself to be patient for the dealer to get through its processes.
Amazing! I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning.

You can get it directly from the OL. Just sign in and click the order details tab. Should be listed there, or you can ask your MA.
The OL worked for you? My car is listed as "On Order" w the wrong info despite having already gone into production. That's true of the first car i ordered which is waiting on the docks for a ship according to ASK-MINI.
I guess a better question would have been "When should I start pestering my MA for my VIN?"

Thanks for that info. When I tried ASK-MINI the woman I spoke to said that you don't get the VIN until you pick up the car which obviously isn't the case for many of us. I'll wait until Friday to start bugging my MA for it.
Did WW change the schedule on that one link? Do they show it as arriving a couple days later in NY?
"do-over" car? What did I miss? Did they screw up a first car?
So untrue! HAHA - I have to laugh at her stupid comment. The VIN is assigned when the VIN plate goes into the car, which is in production. In fact, the shipping companies use that VIN as the cargo ID.
Sometimes I feel bad for the customer service reps that know less then we do.
Jody at ASK MINI just told me they can't see the VIN until the car is at the dealer, agreed that I could get it from the MA, but couldn't or wouldn't tell me when the number is assigned.
I have come to the conclusion that MINI does not want their customer relations people to have access to information. Why they encourage people to track their cars at the owner's lounge is beyond comprehension.
