Dude, that sucks! Is there any way your MA can find out what is going on? Or is the VDC like a black box?

 

OL says I should have had it Tuesday... nasty OL, it lies!

My MA got back from his vaction today and let me know my car should actually be getting to the dealer in the next day or so... tenative pick up date is Saturday!

Edit: Delivery date confirmed... Saturday, June 12!

 

Got word yesterday that my Clubman S will be arriving at port on Wednesday and scheduled on Thursday for the JCW aerokit and driving lights to be installed..so hopefully looking to be at the dealer the week after that! Woohoo! Almost there!

 

My car arrived on 6/4 and I had the aerokit installed at the VDC. It's still at the VDC and OL has an ETA of 6/9.

 

Just realized I never updated here... took delivery on Saturday, June 12! Pictures to come soon once the weather and my schedule decide to cooperate.

Finally picked up my car last night. It's already filthy w pollen! Here's a crappy cameraphone pic:

Those are on a poster behind the car. Kinda funny how they lined up. We didn't even notice them until my sister asked what was going on in the pic

 

Ohh haha! I thought it was an excited person in the back seat. I would totally do something like that.

 

And here I was about to ask why I didn't see "Waving Hands" on the options list when I ordered.

 

That would be handy for parking lots. Just press a button on your key and a pair of disembodied hands start frantically waving on the roof of your car!

 

It's not a great shot, but here's my Bedivere. Hopefully I'll be able to get some better (or at least better lit) shots of him soon.

Did you get the space saver spare or was it deleted due to ordering the sport package?

 

OL is still showing a delivery date of 6/20 but my MA just emailed me to say his system is now showing a delivery date of 6/30 and that the car hasn't left Baltimore yet.

He is going to call the Baltimore VDC and figure out what the heck is going on.

(Reminder: It arrived at the Baltimore VDC on 5/19)

 

Maybe you can use this long delay to renegotiate the final price of the car.

How is everyone! Anyone care to share mileage and what you like and don't like about our cars?

As for me, this morning I had 1,114 miles on the car. And the only thing I DON'T love about it is that you can't set it to where the Sport button is activated automatically.....

I love EVERYTHING else about the car. :D In fact, I believe I favor the R56 over the R53. My hubby definitely likes the R56 better....

 

0 miles, it's still stuck at Baltimore VDC (35 days and counting)

 

OH DEAR!!!!! Now I forget - were you having anything installed at the VDC?

I would DEMAND an explanation from your MA and would demand to know what is wrong with my car. Say it got crushed like that one in the Port Huneme thread at the top. I would want to know.

I hope it's nothing...and that the VDC repair shop (say it's just a scratch on the wheel or something) is just backed up...

 

I'm at about 350ish miles. The only thing I don't like is that I'm still in the break-in period! Won't be for much longer though! Well, that and how much the car bounces around when it hits a bump at speed. That's no fun in a state that thinks storm grates & manhole covers belong on highways.

 

I second all that. Plus, If your MA isn't being helpful go to the Manager. Go visit the dealership and make a scene if you have to. Someplaces you just have to be the bad guy to get any respect.
