I totally agree. They can ignore an email till later. But when you are waiting on the line they have to check right then.

Talking to them on the phone isn't going to get my mini here any quicker if it is stuck in the VDC. However, if I haven't heard back by this afternoon I'll give them a call to see what's what.

It may be that they are waiting for today's delivery to arrive to see if mine made it on the truck.

Hey, did you ever hear anything?

And by the way, how do you guys get the picture of the car in the signature? I thought I followed the directions, but apparently I am an idiot. Every time I try to add the image location, the website says "bad url" or something similar.

Yeah, Bo, I can't figure it out either, and I also followed the instructions.

Just got off the phone with the dealer and his data is the same as what was on OL. Scheduled to leave the VDC on June 12 and arrive at the dealer on June 15. That'll mean it will have been at the VDC for 4 weeks by the time it leaves.

Oh well, I guess I have some more waiting to do.

4 f-ing weeks?!?!! What did they do, rebuild it from scratch?! Did they lose it for a while?! That is ridiculous!

It probably did get a big scratch that needed fixing. That is what the VDC does. Check the thread about the Hume delivery center.

I was at the VDC for something like two weeks just waiting on a truck out (see my earlier post re: the change in trucking companies). I'd bet he's in the same boat and they've just gotten even more backed up.

it's frustrating. Today is exactly 8 weeks from the day I ordered it.

Luckily I still have my 2006 MCS so I am driving something fun.

I didn't know that the 2-4 week VDC layover business was normal. I thought that most cars zipped through in less than a week.

In my case, I guess I was lucky. Off the boat on a truck in 5 days.

I guess I was real lucky. Off the boat and delivered in 5 days and I am at least 2 days truck time. I must have just made the back of the truck.

Do you know why? I'd be worried they squished it like that one pictured in the VDC tour here on NAM.

Yeah, I was lucky, too. This time. Last time, Dobby scratched a wheel (he had too much to drink on the cruise and stumbled and fell on his way off the boat), and he has to spend some time in detox and get his wheel fixed. That hung him up for awhile.

Out of curiousity, which VDC did ya'll go through, and which direction were you headed? Maybe it's a VDC or regional thing to have the wait at the moment... I went through Brunswick, headed to Texas.

I already suspected my order didn't have it's status changed from dealer replenishment to customer order when the dealer swapped the spot in their order over - could be that dealer replenishment MINIs are having to wait on the BMWs but customer orders are being prioritized as they should.

Or it's possible my dealer was lying and made up the whole "change in trucking companies" thing to cover up the fact that my car had fallen off the boat and was sitting next to a big blower fan for two weeks drying out. *shrug*

Went through Baltimore VDC (which is new) this time. Baltimore to NE Ohio. Was unloaded from the Tijuca on 5/19 and arrived at dealer on 5/24.

I'm late to this party (having only found this site a few days ago) but I'm right here with you now. My Mini was on the Undine and found it's way back to dry land at the NY DVC on June 3... my MA has been on vacation so I'm still waiting on the official word on a delivery date.

Welcome! My car was on the Undine too. The waiting is driving me nuts right now. It's just SO close!

The OL has an estimated delivery date of yesterday for my car
