Not sure what I'd do if I were going to stripe an all black car... Since there's no white anywhere to tie into, I might think about sport / rally / "viper" stripes down the whole car (including the roof), and go with a color instead of white. What's your favorite color (besides black)?

No. It just came that way to the dealer. I think I am going to have to do arm twisting to get the steering wheel put on.

My Owner's Lounge info is actually updated and correct!!!! Can you believe it? Mini realized that it was completely useless for us up to this point.

 

Mine has been updated too, except it still says it is a Cooper Hardtop when in fact it is a JCW Hardtop. (Or at least I hope it is).

Apparently they have been having technical problems with the tracker:

 

My info was updated to show that my car is at the dealer- the day after I picked her up.

 

OK my MA called yesterday - the wheel is on and the car is on the truck. New ETA June 1

 

Got a call from the dealer Thursday that my car was in. Got a call from the dealer on Friday that my car was not in. Got a call from my dealer late Friday (4:30pm) my car is on the truck that just arrived. My car is in but no stripes, they were to be put on at the depot in NJ but they didn't.

The car was offloaded from the Don Carlos on Friday of last week. My dealer is about 40 miles from the arrival depot in NJ so why did it take a whole week to move 40 miles I ask? The MA told me that the BMW's that were on the same boat arrived on Tuesday and Wednesday and the mini's not until Friday and thats the way its been for the last year or so. I'm going over there at about 2 to see about getting my car.

 

As I understand it, after the car is offloaded it goes through a process where they repair any damage, clean things up, and I don't know what else. Sometimes it's a couple days, sometimes it's a couple weeks.

We were on the same boat but my dealership is in NJ. I picked my car up Thursday but it didn't get to them until Tuesday. Today being Saturday is only 2 days after I picked mine up.

 

Finally got some pics... Got it washed, waxed and in the garage just in time for it to start getting stormy (not complaining - we need some rain).

Hi all!

Your MINIs look totally sweet! I have wanted one for about 15 years and on May 1, 2010 I finally ordered one. I am super duper ultra excited about it! Even though I looked at the official website just about every single day, there was no useful information about the whereabouts of my MINI until last Friday when it went from being listed as "on order" to "at distribution center." The port location listed was BALPOA (Baltimore?). That is one heck of a one day production/transportation turnaround!

Today it was listed as "at your mini dealer." SWEET! What is it, like only a week or so before I get it?!

This is going to be great!

 

Sorry I've been MIA, gang! I was in Vegas last week on vacation, and I got an email from my MA on Tuesday saying my car was there! Picked it up this past Saturday. Pics coming soon!!! OMG I'm so happy.....

Dude! Call your MA. My guess is that your car may be even ready for you! The OL and ASK-MINI if you haven't actually talked to a person are worthless. haha My guess is you may be ready to roll! Sounds like your dealer already had a slot reserved for a build and overrode your info over the existing stock order. Same thing happened to me!

And yep - BALPOA is Baltimore. Mine came through there as well.

This coming Friday (June 4) it will be exactly 8 weeks from the day I placed my order. Rumor has it that my Mini will be arriving at the dealership this Thursday (June 3) so I may have it Saturday, depending on how long it takes them to install the options.
