Gonna go pick up my baby today!

Okay, so after some last-minute manual transmission training, I'm going up to Cincinnati MINI to finally get my baby.

He's an 09 Oxy Blue Cooper doused in Union Jack (or rather, will be. Right now it's just the mirror caps and roof.) stuff and white bonnet stripes. I don't have the specs on me but I can post them tomorrow.
But it's 3am. I got home from training at 10pm and have tossed and turned all night until I just had to get up. I am soooo eager!
This is, obviously, my first manual car -- I've been slowly learning in my friend's 2006 Cooper S. It's much more fun than automatic! Here's to hoping everything works out....

I've already met my baby on Saturday. He's so handsome! It'll be one loooonng drive back home though, but I should be okay...

I can't wait to take pictures. Haha I really need to go to bed, I still have to go to work! I won't be home until at least midnight tonight annnnd I have work tomorrow too! Eeehe!

Now I really need to go to bed... ha, I feel so silly!

Have fun Agent! You'll be fine with the manual. Once you nail 1st gear the rest is a piece of cake! And don't forget the long-term benefits and fun you'll have rowing your own gears

PS. come back later with some pics

Here he is! Lacking his details atm, but the Cinci dealer's gonna be calling me up when they're ready to go...

Driving home in him was amazing. We got out of the lot shortly bfore 8, stopped for dinner then had a two and a half hour ride home. Beautiful. The mood lighting is *wonderful*. I don't mind the sunroof neaaarrlly as much as I do in the older Coopers, too! It's not as noisy.

I'm so sad that by the time he got home he went from a sparkling new toy to a big pile of bugs. Haha. Gonna try to clean him up later...
This is a biiiiggg difference, going from an automatic Jeep Grand Cherokee to a manual Cooper... hahaha.... but it's nice! Only used 1/10th of the gas tank to get home! The Jeep would've been two or three tankfulls...

Oh, and thank you guys so much I really, really appreciate it.

Thank you so much once again! :D

Yes, he's quite handsome. I'll grab the specs and the like when I get the chance. He makes me quite happy.

And...I only stalled him once today!

Congratulations, very nice OB. I imagine a major change in gas mileage.

By this time next week, you will be 100% with the 6 speed.

Hey Agent--your Oxy Blue Coop looks great! I think yours is the first I've seen with the OB roof as well. I think it looks very sharp--and unique.

Enjoy the heck out of it!

Beautiful!!

I also went from an automatic Jeep Cherokee to manual Mini. It's a big change, but I'm having a blast. You will too!

Congrats again on your gorgeous car!!

Thank you!
Haha, nice to see another Jeep owner on the forums then =) I much prefer SUVs to anything else, but the MINI is not only adorable but far more sensible in what I do on a daily basis...

But I've finally got the equipment/etc on me.

He's got:
Grey/carbon black leatherette
Cold weather package
Premium package
Chrome line interior
Sport seats
HiFi sound system
White turn signals
All-season tires
Factory alarm

And there you go! =) Total I think he was a little over 23k, I can't quite recall right now.
