New member, Have a 2007 mini, don't have a dealer nearby, my dealer tells me I need to get it from a bmw dealer ONLY, is that the case? or do they just want my money? Is there an equivelent, I don't want to short change the vehicle.

 

just get prestone 50/50 or there is some other brand that is a exact replacement but i forget the name and it's not dealer only.. i had my car in for a coolant leak repair last week and there was no issue with me putting 50/50in it from the car or the mechanics.

 

Look forZerex G05 best replacement antifreeze for the Mini. Meets all of the requirements of the mini. Be sure to mix it with distilled water in the engine.

 

Is the coolant a bluish green in color?

 

Zerex G05 is gold in color.

 

Do not use standard Prestone antifreeze.......

Zerex G05 is the one to use. Get either the ready to use or make sure to use distilled water to mix it.
