Anybody else in Week 19 (2009)?
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand and a glass of wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, screaming Hoo-Ya, what a ride! Even more fun in a Mini

I just got my Adventure Field Kit today. It included a mouse pad, some stickers/cling on's (not sure which yet since I haven't bothered with them), a pen, an antenna ball, and some pamphlets. It's not the most exciting thing ever but it's fun to receive.
Oh, and did y'all see that thread about the longevity of Mini's? A guy in Wisconsin has over 340,000 miles on his '02 MC.

I received an AFK when I bought my first MINI in Oct '07. I agree it's not earth-shattering but still very cool and makes you feel a little special and acknowledged. That being said, I both look forward to getting another one and will not have much use for it at the same time. Maybe I'll get a "Level 2" kit (I just made up that term
).
).
Just got mine, too! I have the 8-ball antenna decoration; are there other styles? A smiley face would be cute, or a british flag, or... hmm - might have to go shopping...
My service date on the roadside card is almost a month after I picked it up, too. Strange! Oh well; I didn't need help then

Who knows? When we signed the financing paperwork they had written down that the car had 19 miles on it but it actually only had 11, so I'm guessing that I get a free 8 miles attached to the end of the warranty.
Oh, and I finally got the velcro discs to put under the rubber floor mats. The new guy at my dealership didn't put them in so my floor mats have been sliding around for the past two months. So far, my mats haven't budged one iota. Hallelujah!
I also bought the Mini sunshade and it is pretty nice. It came in its own bag and it's a lot stiffer than most sunshades so I'm hoping that it lasts longer than most others do. And I bought a dog car seat belt, at Petsmart, for my Golden so she's now taken her first official trip in the Mini! She loved it and was far more well behaved than she is in our other cars. I'm surprised that no one asked me if I'd drugged her

The older one has held up very well even after 20 months of frequent use, so don't worry too much about it lasting longer than your other ones.
As for the sunshade, I'm thrilled to hear that yours is holding up so well, Steelersfan. My dad's sunshade for his Mini is still in excellent condition, too. The sun can be brutal this time of year.

My In-Service date is 21 days after I picked up.
And... did everyone find the "TOP SECRET" envelope???

Edit: I LOVE the pen!!!
We are still on vacation, so am anxious to see if I have a "surprise" waiting for me when we return. Got to meet Santacruzer(s) on Monday--we all went to dinner in Capitola (near Santa Cruz). Their car is FANTASTIC! I had never seen the blue top, which really stands out on the white. Very classy Mini. Very classy people. Thanks again you guys
. Will post photos when we get to the home computer. j.
I can't wait to see the pictures!
And I have to say that I love love LOVE my cloth seats. I took my Golden motoring yesterday without any seat protection and she shed quite a bit, but today I took a wet cloth to the seats and the hair simply wiped up! It was wonderful. The hair just came away from the seats without any problem and, as I'm sure that Mr. and Mrs. Jiminni can attest, Goldens shed A LOT and it clings to everything! So I now completely love my cloth seats. Slobber, drool, and hair couldn't defeat the mighty seats of my Mini!
