Well, I got my Adventure Kit the other day but haven't had more than a minute to go through it, what with all the summer houseguests lurking about.

Looks like I got the 8-ball antenna ball - anybody want it? I already swapped out my antenna for a stubby one.

In other news, I hit 4000 miles yesterday. Still loving every mile!

Good to hear from you, Brad! I keep looking for you and thought I saw you. I saw a Hz (I think it was HZ) Clubman but it was HZ with silver and was not an S. I got excited until I realized it wasn't you. Oh well.

4000??? I just rolled past 2000. I guess that means you have enjoyed your car twice as much as I have...

I am at 2600 miles even with taking it on vacation with us. Wonder how long the Brittish Flag antenna ball is going to last before it is snagged off of my car. I am thinking about going to the stubby antenna as well--how is the reception? j.

I just passed 1900 but that's only because I drove to and from Austin today, approximately 200 miles each way. I'm definitely going to be installing the lumbar adjustment. It was comfortable but after 6 hours in the car...lumbar was needed.

I'm wondering how long my antenna ball will last as well. Although, I'm not sure that I will care if it gets stolen.

How do you install the lumbar adjustment? Never heard of that being done.

haha! well, i only have a 2.5 mile commute!

as for the hood marks from the fluid.. i THOUGHT they had taken care of it... well, they some how fooled me cause the light hit it just right the other day and -- oh look, there is is again. So they are supposed to be discussing w/ the factory rep. no news yet. also a small rattle over the passenger headliner just where it meets the A-pillar... it goes away if i press on it, but of course they said they couldn't hear it.. and the idle is still rough...

other than that I LOVE THIS CAR.. it reminds me SO much of my 1971 2002.
and i get SOOO many looks driving down the street... i've seen 4 clubbies total in sacramento, and one is a coworkers... so it's nice to be unusual... let alone any in NFR.

kev

I would change jobs then. JK, JK My commute is only 10 miles each way but I make the most of the relatively short drive. And I wouldn't want to go back to my old 45 mile commute I used to have.

Here's the link. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...orts-seat.html

I'll probably do that and the Euro Armrest on the same day sometime this fall. It's too hot right now to work in the backseat of my Mini without any A/C.

RadioFlyer, sorry to hear that you are still having problems. Have you tried calling another dealership? Please keep us updated on your progress!

Wow, pretty cool! I'll have to ask my wife if she would like this added to her MC as it has the cloth seats and she has been having back trouble lately (I wonder if it is because there is no lumbar support in the seat - she just started driving it 4 months ago).

Hey Brad! Was that you and/or your wife turning left from Bouquet to Soledad this afternoon at 2? If so, I saw you! If not, I saw a Hz/B Clubman but didn't get a real good look at it. I was getting gas at the Chevron on the corner and happened to get a glimpse as it wizzed by.

Outside left turn lane? That was me! Good thing I was whizzing by, otherwise you would have seen how filthy my car was.

My son and I were on our way over to Racer's Edge so he could drive the go-karts. (Okay, I drove one too.) He had a great time - it's was a little spendy but he had a blast. It was funny to see him realize that, unlike in video games, you can't just keep your foot jammed into the throttle All The Time.

Very cool! I guess you didn't see me? Oh well.

I've been wanting to go to RE with my son. Maybe we can meet you guys there sometime.

You mean that you're supposed to let off the gas when you're going around turns in a go-kart? Hmm...maybe that's the reason that they kept overriding my acceleration to slow me down. Bummer!

Reminds me of my 16 year old son who has taken drivers training, but not drivers ed (ie, has not been behind the wheel of a car yet). He keeps telling me he is going to be an excellent driver because of all of the car racing games he has played. yeah, right

I'm still lurking on your thread. I finally ordered my 2010 MINI Cooper S and I have a production number but not a production week yet. I'm so excited and can't wait til I'm the one driving around in my new car! My commute is only 7 miles each way so I won't get to drive it much for purpose, but I'm sure I'll do some driving for pleasure!! Bring on the twisty roads!!
