That's so AWESOME! Beautiful Pepper White MINI you've got there, jgarner53! I'm glad you finally took delivery. I was really feeling sorry that they were making you wait so long. Your car is SHARP! Best of luck and happy motoring.
I'm loving those Union Jack scuttles. Mine weren't in stock when I took delivery. They had to order them and I'm picking them up tomorrow. I can't wait to install mine. Did yours come with a white lens or did you purchase that separately?

stooopid question for y'all. . . ..
last night when i turned on my headlights, my passenger started laughing sooooooooo hard i was afraid he might fall out o the mini. one light lit the ground and one pointed out to someplace across the street. is that normal???
or must my precious mini be returned for "fixin" already??

You ordered the Marty Feldman option headlamps. Not very pretty, but boy do you have great peripheral vision!
Seriously, though. You might want the dealer to check out and aim your headlamps.
jgarner53, I meant the white lens in your scuttle. Did you custom-order those and install them or did they come that way? I thought the scuttles were just the trim around the side marker lens, and that if you order a scuttle, the original lens must be popped off and reinstalled onto the new scuttle.

No, the white lens came with the white turn signals.
Of course, when I got to the dealer yesterday, he still had his chrome mirror caps and no scuttle (and they'd put on the lettering stickies for the dealer - crooked!). So all that had to get fixed before I left. In going over the car's exterior with a fine-toothed comb, I found this rough patch on the driver's rear corner. Looking at it, it looked like paint, like if you paint a light color over a dark one, and there isn't enough, so you can kinda see through it a bit? I was freaking, but it turned out to be some groo that they were able to buff out. Whew!
Seems I have the sunroof issue (oh well), but everything else seems fine and in place. They didn't program my fobs (per the email I'd filled out a month or so ago), so I have to go do that today and start going through the manual to tweak the car to my specs. By the time I got home last night (after taking the 1-hour tour around SF to take pics and have an extended "test drive"), it was dinner time, and I had to post my pics, etc.
OCD detail #1 will have to wait until tomorrow afternoon or Monday, and he goes to another dealer on Tuesday to get his extra specs (aka driving lamps). I got my grill badge holder today, so I'll put that on Tuesday as well.
Just got the free floormats - didn't get anything else. No keychain (what am I supposed to put my fob on??), no pen, nada. Well, except the car.
Went for the extended maintenance plan. Neither husband nor I are car maintenance people, so paying in advance for 3 extra years of maintenance and knowing we won't have to worry about that (including brakes, service intervals, oil changes, etc) is kind of nice.
Janet, sorry to hear your headlights are all wonky! Mine (just the regular halogens) seem brighter somehow than the ones on my VW.

jgarner53, thanks for clarifying that. I felt so dumb. I finally realized that the side marker lights also come in white when you order the rears!
I got my passenger side headlamp replaced at the dealer today. The hood scratched the original one because it was out of alignment with the hood. They made a slight adjustment to the driver's headlamp as well because they noticed it was slightly askew (like it's driver!
). Now everything fits and aligns perfectly. Janet, from the sounds of it, all your headlamps need is a little tweaking. Simple enough. Just four mount points on them, but I'm not sure which of those are used to make adjustments. It's better left to the dealer and it's undoubtedly covered under your warranty.
I got my scuttles today and installed them. Replacing them both took all of five minutes. Very simple procedure, but you've got to open the hood to do so to get the necessary clearance to slide the assemblies forward. I ended up keeping my amber side marker lenses, even though the white ones would look sharp. The ambers don't look so bad on a Chili Red Cooper! I'll post "beauty shots" soon.
Sorry to keep crashing your party here.

. Save the picture(s) to your desktop > double click on them to open in Preview > Go to TOOLS, ADJUST SIZE > Re-save to desktop > Upload. Oh, and get MobileMe, it makes things much easier
i have no idea what mobileme is, so i guess i won't be adding that to any lists anytime soon, but thanks for the resize!!!!
wow this mobileme thing is cool. i have always wanted my very own cloud.

Thanks for the interior pix, Greg. Very nice. I freaked out for a moment because I thought you had the navigation system, and I didn't see it in your photos. Then I remembered, it was another Greg on another thread!

Your interior is pretty cool. I didn't get the door accents (aside from the Rooster Red Line Interior armrests) but I really like them. I was afraid it would make the interior look too busy, but now I think they work nicely with the rest of the interior. Nice choice on your gray accents, btw.

Janet, you look VERY happy in your car.
OMG those seats are SO COOL! Great choice. I love them!
That car looks like it would be so much fun to drive. I'm sure it is. Enjoy! Thanks for sharing those pix with everyone.
