my dealer actually outsourced the stripes. i am a native and i commute to santa fe (county FD). sorry to hear about everyones delays. 
300 miles in and i'm very happy! it's hard to keep it under the break in requirements but so far all the miles have been highway (124 miles round trip for work everyday). if you listen real carefully with the windows down, you can hear the turbo blow off/recirc. i have found some bubbles in the tint (rear window) and in the clear bra (in the hood scoop) so i will have those take care of when she goes back in for the detailing. i have to try real hard to find anything i dont like about the car! and i did find a mini club here in NM! nmmini.org so i'll be joining them shortly.

Husband finally talked to our MA today. Their system shows my car as being delivered on 9/6! 
But he thought that might be out of date since originally they were going to do the driving lamps at the VDC (but are not now). So he checked on another car in the same alottment, and it's supposed to arrive in SF tomorrow, and he was hopeful that our car will be on the same truck.
If that's the case, then we'll be able to pick him up Saturday.
I just now have this awful feeling that 1) they'll still somehow do the driving lamps, and I won't get my car until mid-September or 2) it was damaged in transport, and it's taking that long to fix, and I won't get my car until mid-September
Either way, it's going to be a long night until I hear from my MA tomorrow as to whether our MINI made it to SF!

I have an update, GREAT NEWS: I just received this email from my Sales Manager;, "Good morning, wonderful things happen while we sleep. Your car has been released to a carrier and should arrive at the dealership either late today or sometime tomorrow. "

Oooh, nice glucaaz_MINIMIA! Almost looks MY in the photos. I had to look at your sig to see that it's PW. Love that late afternoon/evening light!
Latest word from the Sales Manager at my dealership. They don't know WTF is going on, confirmed that there was no damage (whew!), and that they are NOT installing the driving lamps, so they couldn't fathom why the VDC would need (or want) to hold onto my car for 3+ weeks. He's going to call us as soon as he sees whether or not my MINI is on the truck coming today. His only excuse is that "they have so many cars." What, so a pre-ordered car just can get "lost" at the VDC?
No excuse. I definitely should get free floormats for this!
