Is today the day you pick up your car? I can't wait to see your pics so I can live vicariously through you while waiting for mine. Do you know which day yours showed up at your dealer? Just curious since yours also has sport stripes, and my car is still at the VDC.

 

Since your car could still be at the VDC, the one question you will want to ask, because if asked, it has to be answered......Was my car damaged in transport?

I need to call my MA. The OL still shows it as at the VDC, but estimated delivery date is still today. I imagine that it's on a truck, or close to SF by now, but haven't heard anything.

Seems like your car should be here. I drove mine home from Mountain View on Friday. The truck arrived with cars in Mountain View on Wednesday or Thursday.

My Mini was supposed to arrive on Sunday but as of right now nothing has come in to Niello Mini. Their records show that it has been turned over to the cargo hauler. Maybe the driver became confused and headed South.

 

I wonder if they load up and drop off cars in MV before heading to SF? OK, time to call my MA.

Just left him a message. According to his outgoing message, he's off Wed/Thur, so it's either going to be tomorrow (guessing) or (gasp!) Friday

The waiting is killing me!

Got her home today! my MA tells me about midday they fired a couple of service techs and didn't think they would be able to get my car inspected today. i bitched and moaned and we struck a deal. it hasn't been detailed yet, the stripes aren't finished in the rear (suppose to be to the floor). so i got a "we owe you" for the detail and a free tank of gas. got my rubber floor mats tossed in also. all in all i'm happy!

Nothing yet. The OL still says "at distribution center" and shows an estimated delivery date of 8/17. I don't even know if it's on a truck yet . I have today off, and I'm going to meet my MA at 12 Noon to arrange payment. He has to go with me to my bank. That way if it shows up in the next few days, I can pick up after I get off work at 6:00 p.m. . I'm really hoping that I find out some sort of news when I'm there today. Oh, I did ask if it received any damage during transport to explain the wait, and he confirmed that it did not.

Nice looking car! I was surprised to see ABQ had a Mini dealer. Wow. I'm from Santa Fe but have live in the Bay area for 20yrs. Are you a native?

 

ugh!! i am not getting it today.
they were installing the sportlink this morning, and the "tech" drilled the bumper wrong. . .the preliminary report is that i need a new bumper. i will learn more after the sales manager goes to see it. someone from the shop was sitting in her office waiting for her this morning when she walked in

 

Those stripes are awesome.. I plan to switch mine from the bonnet stripes to the sport stripes, wonder if my dealer does custom stripes.

SuperGreg, I had the very same thought! What if all my racing around the decks damaged my poor MINI on the boat ride?? Never did hear back from my MA yesterday (nor today neither).

 

I think ours are quarantined in the stripes department

 

SuperGreg, I just had a terrible thought! What if they put your car on the truck for SF, and my car is on its way to AZ? (though you are an S w/a PW roof, and I've got a black roof)
