My OL still says En Route...

Ugh! OL still says it's En Route! (trying to be patient)

Maybe it will wind up skipping the at VDC option altogether and go straight to on the way to dealer!

 

my MA emailed me today. so i stopped by to talk about the clear bra, stripes and tint (i'm getting all three BTW) when she says, leaving the port means it left the VDC. it was expected to be in tues with a shipment of 11 other minis. she thinks it will be in tomorrow. it will take a couple of days to inspect it, send it out for stripes, then tint and clear bra. we have a date to pick it up monday. she said all the online logs are a few days behind to keep people from coming to the dealer if the car isn't there and causing a ruckus

 

the ol says that i have an estimated delivery date of 8-14!!!!!!
i am very excited

Where did you find your status? In the Mini owner lounge? (by the way, what is "OL" ?) Also, I'm assuming our cars are on the same truck coming into Mt. View. Maybe I'll see you there. Look for a Hot Choco clubman...

 

ol is the owner's lounge.
you look at where is my mini - tracking, and if it says that you are at the distribution center, then you click on order details, you know the place where you got your vin. it will give you an estimated delivery date.

 

My OL delivery date says 8/15. That is Friday! My MA last said that it would be ready next Thursday or later. I'm not sure what to believe. I wonder how accurate the OL delivery date is. I think I will check some previous threads, as now I can't sleep.

 

I just found another thread where someone ordering from Rasmussen had an OL delivery date of 8/2 and is just now taking delivery tomorrow on 8/14. 19 days from VDC to delivery. I think this is probably unusual, but just goes to show you never know what to expect.

 

Finally my OL is showing up as "At Distribution Center" with an estimated delivery date of 8/16/2008. Hopefully all goes as planned.

 

I researched a little on the OL expected delivery dates and whether they are accurate. Looking at a previous thread, I found several people from California that actually took delivery on that date or 2 or 3 days later. There is hope

I got it from the "view details" page. 8/16 would be very quick for you, I hope that's correct. I'm in AZ, about 7 hours from the VDC, and mine says 8/17. My MA then told me 8/18 or 8/19, so he may be giving himself a couple of days for detailing etc... ? Either way, I have Tuesday off work, and I'm hoping to pick her up then

 

My delivery date says 8/18. I figure that the dealer will still need a couple of days to detail it and get it ready for me to pick up. Hopefully Wednesday! I know my MA's off on Thursday, so if it's not Wed, it would have to be Fri. Am I going to be the last one here motoring???

 

I wonder how long our cars wait at the VDC until a truck picks them up? I'm willing to drive up to Oxnard and personally "transport" mine to the dealer if that speeds things up a bit.

 

my car is here! i saw it! i can't have it till monday so they can do the inspection, tint, stripes, and 3M clear bra. but its here! and here's proof! the woman is Mica my MA.

I totally want to go down to my dealer when my car gets there and check him out, even if I have to wait a few days to pick him up! (Also imagining all kinds of prospective new MINI owners oogling him jealously)

Holy cow that was quick, and you're in NM? I wonder if mine is sitting at my dealer in Scottsdale? Did you take the pic yourself, or did Mmmmmmica take it for you? I think I would have her spend about 2-3 hours showing me around my new car

 

I finally made it off the boat, according to the OL. Travis has a bit of a drive up to Portland, then some dealer-installed farkle, like driving lamps, checkerboard handles, mirror caps, etc. And my MA is taking him to a local detailer to get my vinyl installed for me. What a sweetie! Then I take the train down from Seattle. Meep Meep!

 

i took it. she has been a very cool MA. i may try and get her to show me the car on the way to dinner!

 

Hello all my Mini S Clubman just came off the same ship and had just picked my up on 8-12-08 its a Laser Blue with black roof and alot of goodys packed inside and out. Still have smile from ear to ear drives like a dream. I will have to add picture some day Brokwing

 

On the 12th, wow. It just got to the VDC the morning of the 12th. Where do you live? BTW, it's mandatory to post pics if you're going to tease us with a delivered car . Congratulations
