Check your OL again, mine just changed to 8/24, and from what I have seen, that's 2 days after the dealer receives it, as mine is showing up today or tomorrow morning

jgarner, my problem is not happening at vdc, i have been at the dealer over a week, otherwise i would totally be up for some fun and games i am sure that if you look around you will find someone to play with.

 

There's probably some newbies fresh off the boat I can play with.

just checked the OL - still says 9/6. This is stupid. Think I'll actually go by the dealer today - get me a few goodies like the UJ license plate frame and the little rubber dealie for the area under the center console to tide me over while I tap my fingers.

 

That makes no sense whatsoever! Picking mine up tomorrow morning. Did you find out anything today?

 

Husband talked to our MA today who said that their system had updated to show delivery of 8/26. I'm still not buying it. The OL still says for me 9/6.

I guess that *eventually* I'll get my MINI, but right now I'm f*&@!ing wishing I'd bought a Prius. All the thousands of MINIs on SF's streets taunt me as if to say, "Don't you wish you had a MINI, too?"

 

Our Clubman had a GREAT time on that cruise ship! We chose a Spring cruise so the weather through the canal would not be too humid. We were out to Ocean Beach last night...I think the car was looking out at the ships leaving SF.

 

Now that makes sense to me! When I talked to my MA on Thurs. 8/21, he said that it was scheduled on a truck and would arrive the eve. of 8/21, or the a.m. of 8/22. The evening of 8/21, the OL updated to an est. 8/24 delivery. The car did indeed show up the evening of 8/21. It appears that the OL gives you a date 2 days AFTER actual delivery to your dealer, so it would not surprise me at all if your dealer receives your car either today, or Sunday. I just checked my OL, and while it STILL shows "at distribution center", it now shows est. delivery of 8/23 (it's at the dealer now). So I'll bet if you check your OL this morning, it will have been updated. See if you can get a Sunday afternoon pickup appt. I'll bet you will be picking her up sooner than you think!
Oh, and the Prius comment, wash your mouth out with soap immediately . That thing would be a total snore to drive, and don't forget it! We will be trading pics in no time . Just keep calling your MA.

 

So far no change in the OL for me.

At least I'm not in the boat with a friend of mine who recently bought a Subaru instead of the MINI that she really wanted for "money and practicality" reasons (both of which I pooh-poohed).

Picked up my mini Friday. Having lots of fun. I haven't come up with a name, but feel a need to. I have called it Coopy a few times, but that seems a little silly. Any ideas? I hope I post these pics correctly.

I do love those 17" wheels and the sport stripes. I thought the sport stripes would go all over the roof as well. May be I am just wrong.

I originally wanted roof stripes as well, but neither the VDC or Scottsdale MINI will install them :(. I like it the way it is though

Thank you! Yeah, those pictures were actually taken while it was still being detailed, prior to antenna installation. It does have the 4" Alta stubby on now though. That thing fits perfectly. I highly recommend it . Just took some new sunrise pics, will post very soon

Thanks for posting more pics of your beauty. Fun to look at. I can't quit looking at my baby. I have the same cloth seats as you. How do you like them? I initially wanted leather seats, but am very happy with the look and feel of the cloth. They are nice

 

And update, as I seem to be the last one getting my car. The OL has updated to a delivery date of 8/26. So either that's Tuesday or Thursday (depending on when it actually gets there and how long it takes them to prep it).

I agree about the cloth seats. They feel good and not like cheap cloth. I too wanted leather but the upgrade was way too expensive so I was going to settle for leatherette. However, my wife convinced me to get cloth seats instead of leatherette (she really did not like that vinyl stuff) and she was right (but don't tell her I said that ).

I am somewhat disappointed at the stereo as it does not show MP3 tags info when playing Audio CDs. It only shows TRACK 01. So

I burned an MP3 CD and it now shows the filename info but not the tags info, which is really how it shoud be and how most radios out there work. WEIRD!
