Clutch job gone wrong ? grinding noise.. please help thx

ok so I replaced my stock clutch with a Valeo kit because the throwout bearing blew up and my clutch was old anyways. the installation went fine and did everything according to the book and replaced what needed to be replaced while in there. Now the issue that im having is that even though the car drives fine and the clutch seems to engage perfectly good its making a noticeable grinding noise while in gear. the sound reminds me of how if you leave your car sitting around for a few days and your rotors get rusted up a bit and then you drive around. but its def not the rotors lol. so far ive driven it around 250 miles with no improvement of sound.

any ideas of what this noise could be?

any help would be great and feel free to ask any questions

Thanks guys

Sorry for the dumb question, but you did remember to replace the fluid right?

The fluid question was not dumb: it doesn't hurt to ask.

I suspect that it's not trans related. You probably bent a brake rotor dust shield while moving things around and it's now scraping against the rotor. Bend them both away from the front rotors and re-try.
