I think your dealer could have your MINI in the next 48-72 hours if all goes well, but they may need a few days for prep/accessories, etc.

 

That would be amazing.. I am guessing I'm gonna get it by next monday.

 

Wow, not really sure how I got bumped all the way to being shipped on the Sierra Nevada but it looks like that is where I am. It is a long wait on the dock from 6-27 until 7-5. I am getting way too anxious for my mini to get here. At least it is finally on its way!

 

Congrats, futuremini! Looks like our "kids" are shipmates. I'm with you on the wait at the dock -- 6/25 to 7/5 here! After July 17, it will be a race to see whether your car gets to OK or mine gets to TX first!

Hey Mini01770 - Lulu here (Black Mini Convertible). I saw the Integrity on the AIS tracking sight yesterday at around 11 or so heading up into the Harbor. I checked again about 15 minutes later and it was gone - haven't seen it since. Any updates on Integrity?

 

Hi LuLu, a topless MINI inbound, congrats! I saw it as well and then it was gone, my guess is that once it docked, they turned off the system that interacts w/AIS. They are scheduled to depart port today, we should be able to track the boat out thereafter. If your port of call was NY, then your MA is going to be your best source of info going forward for car status. If you have not noticed already, the Owner's Lounge is usually in arrears by a few days or more.

 

Hopefully Lulu knew enought to get off the boat in NY, since she is headed up to Keeler Motors in Albany NY. Hopefully she won't get hung up in customs at the port so that I can pick her up Saturday!

Yeah my car was on the Integrity. I just called 1866-Ask Mini and it says
"Your Vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel" which I am guessing it's because they haven't sorted out the cars yet. My car is gonna stay in NY so I am guessing once they figure that out, the status will change.

I guess they do all this sorting at the distribution center, plus it has to go through costumes.

The Mini Lounge still says "En Route" but we all know how slow the website is.

I am extremely antsy myself!! I cannot wait to get this car.

 

Once your Mini was released to the shipper in Southhampton, ASKMini no longer tracks it. Mini Owners Lounge is usually a day or 2 late with updates. Your only way to really know the status is calling your Mini Salesperson.

Talked to my MA today, looks like sometime next week to get MINI to RI from VDC, best of luck to everyone else, hope you get yours sooner, please let us know!

 

For those of you on the Elektra, she made port in Halifax today and discharged her cargo.

So I just heard from the dealership that once the boat (in this case, the Elektra) makes port in Halifax, the cars often wait at the autoport for several days - waiting for the train, and loading on the train, I guess.

Typically "2 weeks" I was told from boat arriving to delivery to the dealership...

Arghhh!

So with dealer prep, etc. I think I'm looking at a end-of-month delivery to me.

 

There has to be more week 26 people out there!!! I just called ASK MINI again and this time I spoke to someone. It seems like the cars are here in Jersey and they are just waiting to be taken to the distribution center. I am guessing it's gonna be another 2 weeks! I cannot wait any longer!!!!

What boat were you on? If Integrity - it docked on 7/7. My MA can not tell me how long but said ~ 1 week after docking.

Me'lo was discharged from Elecktra at 8 am 7/11 and is now at the NJ MINI/BMW VDC... so now we wait... hell... Northern Virginia is only 5 hours away from the VDC..might have to drive up and search out Me'lo

Update from MA today.

Oscar's ETA is 7/17 as determined by the Dist. Center.

I wants it soooooner!!!

But at least I now have a target date.

I am still going nuts over the wait!

 

Yeah also the Integrity. My MA and 1866ASKMINI both don't really know where my car is though... they both sort of said the same thing "Jersey."

 

My Clubman was also on the Elektra and I've also been told it could take to the end of month to be prepped, trained to Vancouver, delivered to the dealer and prepped again.

 

You know your MINI has been in one place too long when the Owner's Lounge status catches up with reality. Much to my surprise, the OL finally has ROLO at the VDC.

Maybe we got a little spoiled along the way, real-time updates, ship tracking, cool people at askMINI who knew more than the automated system and the OL.

Yet, why does it take longer to go up I-95 from the NY/NJ border to RI then it does from England to the US by boat? Ok, getting a bit punchy w/the wait, had to get that off my chest, feel better already.

I watched the VDC video a few times in the OL, gives you a little boost until you realize that someone else is doing donuts with your MINI on a wharf somewhere with a killer grin!

 

The OL tells me that mine is still on the boat, but Thursday I got this response from my MA:


Your car was dropped off at the VPC today and is scheduled to be shipped on the 13th and to arrive at the dealership on the 14th. Again, all estimates. So it's likely you could have a delivery late next week or on Sat. the 19.

You would think it would be easier to track your car once it got to the US.
