What did you order?

According to my source, my vehicle was loaded on the train today, and should be in Calgary on July 21st... Not sure how long the dealer needs to prep once they get it?!?

 

Can the train be tracked across Canada? Give us something to do over the next week or two...

 

My MA said he does not know when my car would be at the dealer - "it just shows up" he said.

I spoke with the owner of the dealership and he magically looked it up and he told me the ETA from the dist. center.

Go to a higher authority - they can find out.

You can track the trains - CN Rail in this case - if you have an eBusiness account with CN.

You're in MA, aren't you? Does your car get off-loaded in Halifax too?

 

I was just ready to go to bed a thought I would check the OL again. It now has changed to: AT DISTRIBUTION CENTER.

 

No, they dropped us in NJNY port, just looking to pass the time on something we can track!

 

Mine changed to "AT DISTRIBUTION CENTER" as well!! I wonder how much longer! The wait is killing me!

I don't see why they wouldn't be on the same train - I can't imagine there are THAT many deliveries to make. If your's is on the same train, use my timing as a guide. Mine's supposed to be delivered in Calgary around 3:30 on the 21st.

Another sign of the times... it has been so long that my credit union express check expired after 60 days (applied back when I ordered). Re-applied today, check arrives early next week.

My OL said yesterday that an estimated delivery date was 7/14. Today I checked it and it says 7/12. I think later on today I might take a ride and see if it is at the dealer.

 

Please provide us with an update and PICTURES if you see your wheels!

My dealer is a bit of a hike, so unless it is there, I am not doing a fly by.

 

My dealer is an hour and 15 minutes away, but I don't think I can wait any longer.

 

Hi, all. This is my first post. New to MINI and NAM. My wife and I ordered matching MCs at the beginning of June. Mine was completed on 6/26 and hers on 6/27 - we are now "en route" and I think we're on the Sierra Nevada Highway (K-Line) which is due into Charleston on 7/17. I'm unable to find out anything more - any help out there? I had to figure out the ship on my own. My MA said we would receive an email from MINI when we were assigned a ship, but that never happened.

Also, we were hoping to take advantage of the MINI Select financial setup, but we got frustrated dealing with our Wisconsin dealer so we ordered from Knauz in Illinois. Now it looks like IL does not offer MINI Select but rather Owners Choice? Anybody know if we can take advantage of MINI Select as Wisconsin residents?

Well, I just got back from checking at the dealer. I pulled in and I saw a blue mini sitting up on the second level at the dealer. I thought WOW that is a beautiful blue, I hope mine is that color. The closer I got I thought that is does not have the wheels like I ordered, but it did. I checked the VIN number and it matched, it was my MINI. I was so happy. Here are some pics.

 

Our first week 26 photos! Your MINI looks GREAT! How did you pull yourself away and when can you bring it home? Are those the 17" wheels?

I don't know when I can take it home. The dealer had about 8 MINIs there with sold signs on them. He told me it was going to arrive on Monday and it would take a couple of days for them to go over it and inspect it. Also they have to put the alarm on it. I figure that it must have came in Saturday since it had the sold sign on it. I felt terrible leaving it. There were so many people walking around looking at cars that I afraid for it. Yes, those are the 17" Web spoke wheels. They look great, the only problem is they said I could not get all season tires with them.

 

Maybe they let you take it home by mid-week!

Great news that a week 26 finally made it to a dealer, the seal is broken!

My MA is out Monday/Tuesday, I could bug someone else, but even if it comes in, it will need a few days for prep. Hoping to take ours home late this week or on the weekend.

 

Congrats 2008 Cooper S!!!! Beautiful new family member! I still have about 9-10 days before my week 26er gets here.

 

My MA called this morning to confirm my MINI came in on Saturday. He said that if everything goes OK I shoulkd be able to pick up on Wednesday.

Just heard from my MA that my car is waiting for me at the dealership! Guess who is going there first thing in the morning to pick it up!?
