Waiting for my Pepper White Clubman!

Just got off the phone with my MA, and it looks like my car is in for production in week 26! It is getting exciting- I ordered a Pepper White/Pepper White Clubman with black trim and tan leather interior! My kids and I check MINIUSA.com every day to see if they have started building it yet...

Shoot!

I was beginning to think that Week 26 was a holiday week in Jolly 'Ol... Couldn't find this thread to save me ****.

Anyway, I'm checking in! According to my MA, I'm an inmate for week 26. No production number yet, so he's got me antsy, but he assures me we're on the book.

I gots coming:
MINI Cooper Clubman (not S)
HC/S
Premium, Cold Weather, Convenience packages
Sport stripes
White signals
Sirius
JCW carbon shift ****.
--and whatever goodies the dealer bestows upon me in its largesse.

So, all, do we sing during the voyage, or what?

Well, it looks like I may have to pick up my toys and go two weeks farther back on the bus. It appears that my MA either:

1)Lied about the week

OR

2)Jacked around getting the order placed and let it slip away, and then lied about the week.

So, looks like any late summertime enjoyment of the car is out the window.

I know it's irrational, it's only two weeks and all that, but I gave them my business instead of a dealer an hour closer due to the availability of week 26 production, and a certain amount of optimism because a lot of cars had been bumped up here recently.

I am an unhappy motorer.

I wonder if the MINI plant closure this weekend has anything to do with it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/e...re/7451682.stm

Still no official word on the MINI website on my vehicle's build date- I wonder if mine will get pushed back, too...

That ain't good.

But, no, I don't think that has anything to do with this, but it might delay things down the road. Got an e-mail from my MA...we'll see what he comes up with.

Meantime, can I stick around?

Whew- thanks! Cybergypsy- what was your scheduled build week? Mine was supposed to be Week 26, but it is still listed as "on order" on ASK-MINI...

Hey, What's the date for week 26? I called yesterday and found out the date for my Mini to be completed is June 21. Am I week 26?

If you call ASKMINI they can tell you for sure, but that appears to be Week 25. My understanding is that Wk 26 ends on 6/28; they told me that the week that bridges June and July is 27.

's all I know.

Did you buy from Century?

Refugee from Week 27 reporting for duty. Ask MINI gave me the good news this morning, got bumped up into Week 26, strike be damned!

You are correct, week 27 bridges last week of June into early July. Week 26 = 6/22 to 6/28 (NEXT WEEK).

I know this thread does not have the same cachet as the Week 23 crowd, but it is really quiet over here! Quality vs. Quantity?

Just got off the phone with ASK MINI. I'm actually week 25, but because of the strike I may end up in week 26 (original production date was 21st, now maybe 22 or 23). So, I guess I'll hang around a bit and see where I end up. Maybe make some friends with week 25 too.

Hoonu, bought from Crevier. Sad story, they actually found one in their warehouse that almost matched the exact description of what I wanted to order. Was supposed to pick it up two saturdays ago, but they wrecked it driving it out of the warehouse. I'm suspicious of the story, but either way I didn't get the car. So I just said order me what I want and I'll try and be patient.

And now I'm here....

Anxiously Awaiting

Hello everyone,
I am new here and just wanted to say hi because i'm in the Week 26 build also I was just informed. The dealer gave me an estimated delivery date of 8/10, is that similar to any of your's?

Anyway my Cooper S will have the following options:
British Racing Green with Black Roof and Mirrors
Limited Slip Differential
Sport Leather Steering Wheel (for cruise control reasons)
Panoramic Sun Roof
Checkered Cloth Sport Seats
16" Bridge Spoke Rims

Pretty bare bones i know but it was cheaper that way!

Anyone have any thoughts on the Limited Slip Diff? I was hoping to get some input if it quells some of the torque steer, or possibly helps traction is bad conditions... Just Curious

Mine, too- same situation. My wife is getting pretty $%^& sick of that song that plays on the "Order Tracking" page... I called ASK-MINI this morning, and got told that I was in the queue, and next week looks likely for production. I am keeping my fingers _very_ crossed. My MA told me to expect 21 days after the build to get my car, so I am getting excited!

Well, I'm week 27.

Better than 28, but not this fine group.

BUT, I did move from "on order" to "scheduled for production," apparently yesterday, so that's good, right?

I talked to my MA yesterday, who said they had "pulled me forward," which should have meant week 26, but that his schedule showed no week 26 cars, so maybe MINI bumped everything back a week from the truckers' strike or the weekend furlough or something.

I'm car-less and antsy. I'll be okay...really...

I'm in for week 26 as well (scheduled completion date of 6/24, but 866-ASK-MINI says that is probably a conservative estimate). I am trying not to get my hopes up that my car will be able to hop a ship to the US before around July 3.

Most of it is included in my siggy, but here is what I'm expecting:

Cooper Clubman
Pepper White / Pepper White roof / Black C-pillars
Auto trans
MFSW
Conv pkg
Cold weather pkg (for the 10 days a year it's cold in TX )
Hot choc lounge leather/cream color line
Anthracite headliner
15" wheels
Xenon headlights
Fog lamps
Might get black bonnet stripes at dealer

I'm guessing my car will arrive in the Charleston, SC port, so I'm looking at the K-Line and WW shipping schedules to try to figure out which boat I'll be on. That's not obsessive, right???

Anyhoo, glad to be a part of the week 26 group - the CENTER of the year.

The OL is reportedly the slowest to update. If you go to the tracking thread, you can see the relative speed/accuracy of the various sources. You could always try to recruit a "mole" in England...

Kinda quiet in here...is anyone obsessing??? I called ASK MINI today and got the same person I spoke to on Tuesday, and she remembered me. I was optimistic and hoped my production date of 6/24 would be moved up, but it hasn't.

What are everyone else's estimated completion dates????
