I just called and my MINI is being transfered to the port of exit. So now what do I do to track it on a ship?

 

Looks like things are moving along quickly now. I've reached the "Arrived at Post of Exit" stage! OH BABY!

How did you find out?

I keep trying 2wglobal, but when I type my last 7 characters of VIN, still says not found.

I presume that you include the letters as well as numbers, correct?

You have to use the full VIN.

 

The MINI is booked on the Undine leaving Southampton 6/30/08, Arriving in Port Hueneme on July 23. That's exactly one month from build day. I am pleased that I can track this ship.

What confuses me is the 07/05/2008 date. Is this the arrival date? I sure hope so!

07/05/2008 is May 7th, that's when the slot was booked.

 

UK dates are different than US.

It goes DAy/ Month/year

So It was received at terminal on June 26th.

A booking by BMW to reserve a spot on the ship was done on May 7th.

Congrats to everyone who is already on a ship!

How many others are sitting at the port like me??? So far, been at the port 5 days. Since I'm in Texas, I believe I'll be on a K-Line ship, and the next one doesn't leave until Jul. 5. I'm trying very hard to be patient, but sitting for over a week at port makes no sense to me!

Sigh...anyone else possibly waiting for the Sierra Nevada Highway departing on Jul. 5?

 

Mrs Zug, Try the Undine again, it stops in Galveston before Port Hueneme. I checked a lot of times before my VIN number showed up as booked. Cathie

 

Thanks, Cathie. I do still check WW for my VIN at least once daily. I haven't heard anything official, but it seems like most Texas deliveries come into the Charleston, SC port and use K-Line. I got excited when I saw the Galveston stop, as that's only a few hours from where I live, but I don't think there is a VDC in Galveston.

 

Well my car was finished on Sunday the 29th, but i'm still sitting at port. Is there any word of anyone on board a ship to California yet?

 

Just came in... Me'lo arrived Southampton terminal on 6/30 and now on the Elektra (WWL) which departs July 2 and arrives New York July 10... MINI Me'lo is ON HER WAY
