Grrr. I got told by ASK-MINI that I was "in the production bundle" as of 6/9 and that my car would start production "very soon" and it was consistent with the week 26 that my MA gave me, but no specific production date. Sheesh- the tension is killing me!

 

I guess week 26 is still possible for you though...it runs through at least 6/28, right? Mine is supposedly 'in production' right now, but I have no idea at what stage. I've heard that it really only takes a couple of days to build one, but my dates show 9 days. I'll bet they can crunch them when they need to. If we get on the same ship, you should get yours before me since you are much closer to the port.

 

Today ASK-MINI still says my production week is estimated to be week 26. I have been hesitate to post because originally they said week 23-24, then week 25, and now week 26. When I called today I expected they would say week 27.

In a way the most frustrating part was that when I placed my order in May, my MINI went into production that week (before I even got a production number) but the dealership made an error in the options I had asked for. By the time they sent the info it was too late to change. I would have been something like week 20 and my former MINI is now passing through the Panama Canal.

 

Lady G has gotta be obsessing! She's looking at delivery on Saturday! I may have to bust out of work and go over to Hendrick for the festivities!

But hey: If they give you a date, is that a completion date, or a start date?

 

They gave me a start date of 6/16 and a completion date of 6/24.

I ordered mine on 6/14. I have been watching online all week and it still says on order. So today I called the toll free number and they told me it was in production with a scheduled completion date od 6/26. So I guess that makes my Laser Blue Cooper S a week 26 car.

That is great! You are so lucky to get into production so fast! Did you talk to a live person at ASK-MINI? I called the automated system and got the same information that was on the web page. This _is_ week 26 coming up right?!

 

I asked to speak to a real person. I also asked for a status number and she sais she could not tell me that. My dealer told me the status was 150 and confirmed a completion date of 6/26. I wanted to add the alarm to the order, but can't now. The dealer said it could easily be installed a the shop. Now today it says in the owners lounge that it is in production. I guess the dealer had a car on order for the lot and quick change it to match my order.

 

How do you get an automated system? At 866... I get the "we're not here" message after hours.

Still holding at "on order" according to the website, but ASK MINI sez scheduled.

 

When you hear the greeting, press 2, you will be prompted for a production # which you can dial in.

 

When I called it went right to the automation. Then I asked to speek with a representative.

On a side note. Does anyone know when a 26th week car should arrive in Pa.

 

Another Week 26'er here! Guess the color ordered is obvious. Estimated completion date is June 26, so we hope to see it in Virginia sometime in mid to late July.

I am going nuts waiting! Ordered 5/23, though I did change mind on color several times, my MA was patient and helpful.

This site is so needed by a minaholic, I can finally breath normally again.

Man - the Spanish strike really had me worried!

Since the first gen redesign, every time I saw one, I would tell my wife things like "Man I really would love to pick that up and put it in my pocket" or some such thing. Bottom line, I admired longingly. My wife always said "No!".

Then on the night 5/22, I came home from work and the wifey said: "For your 50th (6/28), we could either invite all your relatives over that you can't stand and have a big party, or, we could go buy you one of those MINIs". Seconds later we were in the car to drive an hour to the dealer. The rest, as they say, is history.

I am very bad at exercising patience. This is the first car I have hand specified and ordered. So many choices!!!

I have been told that from the birthday, it takes about 10 days to ship (NY Port) and a day or two before dealer prep complete.

My guess is around July 10th!?!?!?!

Can anyone confirm or deny my calculation?

Love looking at everyone's pictures, I will post mine when I get the little guy.

Well, I guess that I am in the 26th week also. My car has a completion date of 6/23/08. In my calculations that would be tomorrow. MINI USA says it is in the body shop. Anyone else in California? Any idea which ship? Cathie

 

Rolo's VIN was available this weekend as well. Anyone have a bead on when boats leave port next week and the week thereafter? Put my Mini in for the Admiral's Suite on the Sun Deck.

 

mini01770 -- our dates are pretty close, where do you live? I am sure spending a lot of time snooping around for the ship's name. The VIN trick isn't working at the WW site. It doesn't look like the K line goes through the Panama Canal. There must be another shipping company that is not listed. MINI USA did said that they try to ship within a week of production. There is nothing better than seeing a new page on the Order Tracking website! i just got my VIN and Coop should be done later on this week! Soon we will be motoring all around the Pacific Northwest together.

 

Congratulations John. I am glad there is something to do but wait. I am actually in Southern California. I have a 2006 MINI. I am tracking this one for my DBF. We will probably be on the same ship. I think I finally found the site that shows the ship movement in Southampton. It has taken me about a week to figure out what I did last time. My last MINI did not come on the WW line. I hope this one does.

 

Let's hope so, i just did my daily call to ASK MINI and they tell me that there is a completion date of 6/28 (This Saturday!). Anyone else have any completion dates and/or possibly what ship you are going to be on? Hopefully I can get on the UNDINE departing 6/30 and arriving at Port Hueneme, CA on 7/23. If not then it looks like I will be on the ISOLDE which leaves 7/09 and arrives 7/29. These are the two ships headed for the West Coast that everyone from Cali, Oregon, or Washington will probably be on.

 

Just spoke with MINI CS... our MELOYELO S went into production 6/20 and will be out 6/26.. will be coming into the NJ port since we are in Northern Virginia... all is exciting

I am a week25, and have been sitting at the dock almost a week.....
