OL still says "On Order" for me, though talking to Jim on Thursday at ASKMINI, he said I was scheduled for week 28 production. No VIN yet either.

 

Don't fret. The OL is always behind, and we're in the holiday blackout for anything being updated. I'm in the funny situation of being told by the automated system that my car is scheduled for completion...yesterday.

In the past hour, I went from "On Order" to "Scheduled for Production". Automated voice system at ASK-MINI still says no specific production date; however, if others' experience is correct, Issy could be anywhere from a pile of parts to almost finished based on the update delays for OL.

Will have to call in the AM to talk to a person to find out more about it...

I promised myself I'd be mature and patient, but I've spent so much time in The Owner's Lounge that I'd like the theme music from "Tracking Your MINI" to be played at my daughter's wedding.

P.S. Got my VIN today, too! Now I gotta get serious about selling my current vehicle.

 

Update: Just checked OL and it finally shows "Scheduled for Production" and a VIN is shown. SWEET!!!!!

 

Woo hoo! Me too! Just checked the OL and got my VIN and am on board for production! Now, how do I keep from obsessively calling ASKMINI every day to see where it is on the production line? Anyone else here getting PW/B?

 

from ottos as well, my MA told me I was for week 28 also, but my car is all ready ready for transport

 

I think resistance is futile - I'll be on the phone with them every morning until it's loaded on a boat. (I wonder how much it costs to FedEx a mini...)

PW/B here, too. Can't decide between bonnet stripes and a perforated UJ for the sunroof.

jgarner53 & mbsbike2002 - Yet another PW/B here. No sunroof though - the sun is too intense for too much of the year in these parts for that to be appealing here.

 

I apologize as I'm sure this is posted somewhere that I haven't found (new to site), but what does PW/B mean?

I also ordered my Mini from Otto's on 6/23. It's scheduled for completion today. It's a MCS in laser blue with body color roof, cold weather package, sport suspension, DSC, LSD, rear fog light, anthracite, MFSW, brushed alloy.

Now I just need to sell two cars

Just got the news - my car went into production on July 5, and should be completed on the 12th! I am very happy.

With all the people who ordered from Otto's here, I am sort of happy I ordered from Main Line - looks like there is going to be a long line for auto pickup at Otto's when all of these Week 28 Minis come in.

 

Just did my daily (I mean weekly) status update w/ ASK MINI and was told that my Mini started production on July 3 and went to the body shop yesterday. My little Apple should be completed on July 9! In light of the news, I'm switching over to Week 27 but good luck to you all!

 

Hey, congrats! I'm jealous that your apple is almost done!

I went for the sunroof because my last two cars have had them, and I love the extra light (especially in the MINI), and the ability to get that sun! (Here in San Francisco, it's rarely hot enough that it's an issue.)

mbsbike2002, why not get both stripes AND the UJ sunroof graphic? No reason you have to get one or the other. Get one first, and when you have some extra cash, get the other. I might add a UJ sunroof graphic (or maybe a black jack, to be stealth with the black roof) at some point.

OK, now for the truth-telling: who's got their VIN memorized already?

 

Bidding adeiu (sp?) to week 28 as I just found out my Clubman started 7/5/08 which puts me in the week 27 group by a day (they go Sun to Sat as I am told.) I'm not sure if starting kindergarden early or late will matter to the new Clubman but sometimes you just have to go with the flow (or the production line????.)

Hi All,

Well my PW Clubman has been in "on order" status for about a month. Then it went to "Scheduled for Production" over the weekend.

I checked with "ask mini" and I'm told it went into production on the 4th of July and will be through production on July 11th.

I've got my VIN. Isn't there some place I'm supposed to use that to sign up for some loungue or something? I'm already on here and MINIUsa...

P.S. Even though I don't have stripes on mine yet, here is what I might do...this is my color scheme and all, but I'm not a Clubman S, so the stripes would go a bit lower. These were viper stripes I found someone on the web had. They go down in the back, like the factory "sport stripes".

 

Went from week 27 production ..........then to 28 production then as of Wed last week to 29 production now as of today Im at Week 30

 

ASKMINI told me today that my car will be done by July 11. I guess that means it was born on the 4th of July, too! Maybe I have to name it "Yankee Doodle!"

 

I notice several people ordered from Ottos.

Did any of you Ottos people get any calls from your MA? I have been calling Mini myself and looking at the owner's lounge to see my progress. I haven't had any updates from the dealer since I placed my order and cut them a deposit.

I guess I was hoping for more customer service, I expected more from my MINI MA or dealer, or something.

 

I haven't had any calls from MA from ottos I only emailed mined to find out my production week, I also haven't gotten anything cool in the mail yet :(

 

Called ASKMINI this AM as well, and I started production on Saturday, too. The rep I talked to didn't have a completion date, but based on others' experience, I figure it should be done on 7/11, too. Hopefully, it will be done in time to make the Western Highway on 7/11 (not likely). If not, then she'll spend 9 days on the dock in Southampton waiting for Caribbean Highway...
