Some pics of the whole family.... Jolly Green Giant, Sprout, and their little friend. Or, to my young daughter, "Mommy, Daddy, and the BABY!"
The "baby" is a Little Tikes Cozy Coupe I repainted a couple years ago, long before the Clubman made it possible for me to own and drive a REAL Mini. When it came time to order the real thing, I went round and round about colors. But I loved British Racing Green then, and I love it now. Breaks my string of three blue cars in a row, though (the SUV was my wife's pick.)

Two random conversations
I had two strangers ask me about the car today. One was in a parking lot. He parked next to me so he could look at the car. The second was next to me at a red light. He wanted to know what it was like in snow. He actually drove and loved it. He was in a giant SUV. I told get some Blizzaks and go for it. I have no idea what it will be like in the snow, but for some reason I am not at all worried.

I have an appointment at noon tomorrow to pickup Elphie. I'll probably get there at 9am and stare and drool all over the car until noon...
I did take my Element in to be appraised and I'm right at break even (it's an 07). I'm not happy about that but I'm not going to not get Elphie because of my trade-in. Hopefully I can get it at break even.
I promise tomorrow afternoon there will be pics of Elphie out here. I can not wait...

Back from vacation. Jupiter arrived at the dealership while I was gone. Hubby & I will pick him up tomorrow morning! Yeehaw! Can hardly wait. Transaction will probably take a while as we have a vehicle to trade. Hope they give a good trade-in.
Anyway, my MA sent me a some pictures of the interior. I just love the two-tone red/black.

Joe! That is great news! Have you thought about selling your car to Carmax? Maybe they will give you more for your trade?

Reyd... I thought about that (selling the Element to Carmax) but I'll lose a few hundred if I go that path. If I have a loss I figure I'll take a hit and it apart of my financing. Not what I want to do but if I want Elphie I need to do it....

I like Carmax and all, but they were only offering me $6500 of my 2001 Accord. I checked Edmunds / Kelley, and they said $9000. So I did a private sale on Craig's List and sold it in about 12 hours for $8000 cash....

Do you live in the Chicago area? My wife and I are heading up there next week to see the play Wicked. We're sick... I was wondering something - when we go to plays here in Orlando it's a bit more casual (some people actually wear Tommy shorts and shirts) so what is it like in chi-town? More swankified or what? just wondering...

DMAC57..... thank you!!! This is going to be our second time around with the show. We saw the travelling show here in Orlando. The lady that played Elphaba, Carmen Cusack, used to star in the show in Chicago. She was amazing. We're actually lookin at seeing the show in October in Atlanta.
