I will have to look around again, but unfortunately for the r56, I could've sworn reading that Dinan isn't planning on developing for 2nd gen due to lack of interest? I think that there was a thread somewhere where there was a falling out between BMW and Dinan. Probably due to BMW pushing their own aftermarket stuff... i will have too search again and make sure that this is true. I think that it was in a different forum discussing about hidden codes on the ECU and those codes would void your warranty....

 

Sweet! Just got some icing on the cake of the new Clubman...

Closing the loan with my credit union in June got me two $50 Shell gas cards. That's like my whole break-in for free

I'll be checking my mileage each fillup, and it won't hurt to fill up all the way those first few times now. I don't buy Shell right now...don't they have like 94 Octane in their premium? Not exactly a perfect experiment, since it'll be 92 every fillup after the free stuff runs out.

The others in our life (wifes, husbands, etc.) I think get as excited as we do when it comes to actually picking up the car. With my first MCS it was like christmas morning I was so giddy and so was my hubby. But last time I didn't track the car at all during the order process, I ordered it and didn't do anything else until my dealer called and said it was ready. But this time as soon as I ordered I was addicted! They should have a warning notice that you get once you order your car! lol

Now that you say so I remember my MA mentioning something to the sorts... I don't mess with the ECU, I let the service guys do that. I had a LOT of problems with my MCS with check engine lights, SRS lights, etc. I had the computer reset like 2 maybe 3 then replaced at least once that I can remember. So it scares me to do anything becuase I don't want to cause something else to go wrong. (Nothing I did was the problem, the car was just testy and liked to be in service lol)

So I will just wait to see what BMW and MINI release as far as performance upgrades. Although my Clubman will feel really fast after driving a Land Rover for 6 months and then a KIA for the past few weeks... lol

 

I received this email today:

"Good news Joe! THe MINI has been released! I will let you know once we have it here at the dealership, and schedule a pick up time with you!"


Personally, I'm holding back my excitement but I'm hoping beyond hope that I get to drive Elphie home soon...

 

Jessyca - your Mini looks great! And lucky you - living in Quebec means no front plate to mess up the looks of the nose. I wish Ontario would get on board with that idea.

Joep - Good news! You're finally only days away from being united with Elphie. Just in time too - I don't think the anxiety pills were working anymore.

The "baby" is a Little Tikes Cozy Coupe I repainted a couple years ago, long before the Clubman made it possible for me to own and drive a REAL Mini. When it came time to order the real thing, I went round and round about colors. But I loved British Racing Green then, and I love it now. Breaks my string of three blue cars in a row, though (the SUV was my wife's pick.)

Pretty close, they are both from Disney. The antenna topper is a minnie head with gold crown that says Disney princess, and the keychain is a "pirate princess".

Okay the excitement is growing.

 

My wife rolls her eyes every time I say something about checking the tracking to see where our MINI is (arriving at Port Hueneme today)... but she also asks me every day for an update.
