toolazy, I don't really remember, I never pay attention to those people's names.
I too thought it was very odd my email was incorrect. I have been receiving email on a bi-weekly basis from pretty much every dealership I contacted during my first few weeks of shopping around. Further more I know my dealer has the information and that my MA was fully aware of my email address. What really sealed the deal for me was that Mr. Survey Man "strongly encourage[d]" me to sign up for the Owners Lounge. If 10+ dealers are sending me email, my MA is sending me email, he isn't tied into ASK MINI (see previous message), and they aren't picking up the info from the Owner's Lounge, where on earth is their data coming from?! No wonder it isn't correct. Clearly MINI USA has some data consolidation issues they need to work out between the national and dealer levels.
I got my survey call the day before yesterday. They also had messed up my email address so they called. I thought it was strange that they had the email address wrong since I have been receiving emails from MINI since I ordered. I was very happy with my dealer and the purchase experience so the survey was pretty easy.

We're finally home!!! Picked her up tonight, and had a 100 mile cruise to get home. I really tried to be good, but somehow I crept up to 90 mph without realizing it. I'm still figuring out the audio system, but at least got the lights to work. And the union jack side scuttle turned out to be a perfect subtle addition. Now I can post the official pic in the driveway at home, with Sadie the Wonder Dog admiring her fender reflection-- and now I'm qualified for wings!

Has anyone else had this experience before? The MINI USA Owner's Lounge said the estimated date of delivery to the dealer as 07/15/08. As of today, the status has actually changed to at the dealer. I left a message for my MA today and he called back after a couple hours. He told me that no, my MINI wasn't in yet and they didn't expect it until likely the 20th. Then of course there would be prep work, etc.
<sigh> I am anxious, as everyone is, to get on with motoring. I'm not entirely certain what to do at this point, but there seems to be conflicting information available. Anyone have suggestions?

PS Monday July 21 is RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER! Matt and I can hardly sleep for excitment. I bought him a "Birthday" card, scratched out the "Husband's Birthday" and wrote "MINI's Birthday". He cant open the envelope until July 21. HAHA

Well, they're a partial union jack anyway. Gives a splash of color in a small area that goes nicely with lightning blue. My daughter wanted me to go with the full flag on the roof, but we'll start out with this.

I'm suppose to pick up the baby this afternoon!!!!! 
I called yesterday and my MA was off, and the sales manager said that the car is done, but I couldn't come pick it up! 
But I confirmed, the car is ready? He said yes it is! I think because my MA was off, I have to wait... and that is not cool.
But I am suppose to pick it up today!!!! YAY

Uh-oh.. how long will it take them to swap it out? Hopefully it won't take too long... Maybe if the sticker price is actually low, it may have only included the factory installed items to create the price, but any dealer/VDC items that were installed were not included? maybe?

I saw Another (!) Mini on the Naval Base here in Grecignano today, that makes 4!! Mount Vesuvius Mini Club will have 5 minis on base after Monday!

mine said 7/13/08 and my MA called and asked when I saw that it should be there. It got there a day or 2 after, but he didn't even know it was on the lot until I said so. See, they don't get the keys right when it gets there. First the manager gets them, then detail, then all of these other people get em before the MA gets them.

I was thinking of black jacking it instead, and this was a combo of the two, but I am thinking of changing it slightly.... once on, it didn't quite look as imagined, I think I might add a small pin stripe of white outlining the black. Not sure yet...... but I do stand out
Picked up my baby at 3:30 yesterday, the 16th!
Northwest Mini was beyond helpful.
Pics will be uploaded in a bit, I don't have internet in my new apartment yet, so I'm hanging at a coffee shop.
She got a nice wash and wax this morning, wheels and all. looking shinier then ever!

i just did a quick mock up of pinstripes in photoshop and it didn't look that much better, it helped out, but my English brain can't get past the black inside the flag haha
If it was a solid sticker with the white areas filled in it would look great.
