Quote: On the Wallenius and Wilhelmsen website (http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/index.jsp) you can search schedules by route and shipname.

Before my MCS was assigned a ship, I searched the schedules and looked to see which ship would be the most likely candidate... that was the Carmen. And sure enough a couple days later, when I searched the cargo with my VIN, my Mini was aboard the Carmen. Here's Carmen's schedule: http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSche...esselSearch.do. Looks like they've been delayed a day and are now coming in on the 28th...
Okay yeah I found that info now! I can't seem to track her on the ocean though. Not on the sailwx.info or the aislive site....

No change here either, still waiting on a ship. Crossing fingers for Courage leaving Monday.

Courage is just now leaving port, no indication my mini is on it. How long after a ship leaves port do you see it on WW?

Wait you mean your VIN# didn't show up on the WLW cargo tracker? http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...trackType=Auto

As for ShipAis.com, it's not the most reliable...ships are not required to call in and if they do, they often only do it once.

No I have not had my VIN# show up on the WLW Site. I was just guessing it would be on the Courage since it was the next ship to leave headed for Charleston, SC. I have been waiting on a ship for almost 2 weeks now. The ais-live site looked pretty real time, was showing the ship leave port including the tugs pulling it out. Do you know if the VIN# shows up before or after it leaves port?

Your VIN # should show up before the ship leaves the port. It sounds as though your MINI may well not be on the Courage. Have you called ASK MINI and spoken with a human being?

I have only called and listened to the recording. Says it's waiting a port for a ship with no shipping information available. Guess I should talk to someone to get more details.

Yes, call back and ask to speak to a customer representative. They should give you your VIN# and tell you when it left their custody. I was told it could take a week for mine to be loaded onto a ship (if memory serves me) and it was loaded within about 3 days of its leaving MINI.

Let us know what's happening and if you don't get any helpful answers call your Motoring Advisor. MINI created this obsession so they need to honor it.

If you haven't read this sticky yet, it's very helpful: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=70301 and outlines the process of tracking.

Believe me, even though this will is my third time around - memory fades.

Hope to read some good news soon from you!

I'm also not getting anything with my VIN on the WW site. I sent an email to my MA today and she says that I should be receiving the car around the first week of May. She didn't tell me what ship it was on and by the way she put it It sounded more like a guess then fact. But it's better then nothing.

Well if you should be receiving your car around the first week of May - you may well be on the Fedora which docks in NY/NJ on 4/16. Very confusing to me that your VIN didn't bring anything up on that site. Did the ASK MINI folks tell you it had already been sent to the port and if so, when?

P.S. I see you'd already posted about when your MINI left the plant. Maybe there's been a back up of excess cars to ship and yours just hasn't made it on one yet?

Alright, still not much. Talked to ASK MINI rep and they are saying the same, at port waiting for ship. Call MA but he was not in today, will call in morning.

Ok, just some more guessing...Possibly on the K-Line:
4/4 - CARIBBEAN HIGHWAY into Charleston 4/17 (Probably did not make this one as my mini was released to Carrier on 4/3 and status is not Enroute yet)
4/12 - DYVI PAMPLONA into Charleston on 4/24 (This does not have a discharge according to the Port of Charleston Schedule so maybe not)
4/20 - WESTERN HIGHWAY into Charleston 5/1

I guess I'll probably know tomorrow when I talk to my MA.

Just keep checking those ships with your VIN #...but don't drive yourself crazy - but I know it's hard not to. Hang in there!

My Automated message at 866-ASK-MINI also changed to "In Transit" No news on the ship either.

My MA could not get the Ship name because the system was down but said it is scheduled to be at port on 4/24. Looking at the WW and K-Line schedules I would guess it would be on the DYVI PAMPLONA which left on 4/12.

gboromini,

Do you have links to those sites. I only know how to get to the WW site to see their schedule.

*twiddling my thumbs*

I swear, my work is so slow right now all I can do is think about my MINI. I thought I would load up on tons of things to do until it got here to make the time go by faster, but really the wait is quite painful!

Not to mention, as soon as I even hear it's at the dealership, there's that extra wait while they tidy it up, and theeeen, I have a 3 hour drive to pick it up!

Nice! My MA doesn't seem as in touch with things as yours is. Considering that our information changed around the same time, I would bet that I'm on the same boat as you.

When I first spoke with Ask-MINI, they thought my car would end up on ship going to NY since I live in the Chicago area. But I spoke with a co-worker and his BMW went to Charleston when he ordered it a few years ago.
