Week 5/6 Support Group
Not to obsess, and not that I don't have lots to do, but I just checked WW tracking and it shows our MINI as loaded on the Faust about an hour ago! This is according to my calculation that Southampton is 6 hours ahead of CST in Texas. Right?
Hey folks. Just wanted to tell you that I'm leaving the week 5/6 support group and joining one for week 8. I abandoned my order for a CR Clubman, and I now have an HC Clubman that is scheduled for production this week. Have fun!

I hope you get some good information from your MA soon, Holly.
I just noticed the Faust will go from Germany to Belgium, then on to Southampton before sailing the Atlantic. It will dock in New York, Charleston three days later (where my MINI will be unloaded) and then on to Texas before continuing through to Panama. Too bad there's not a BMW/MINI distribution center in Texas. I'm curious about how long the overland journey is from South Carolina to Texas.

FWIW, versiontracker.com shows Faust between Belgium and Southampton. That's delayed data, so things should start showing up as 'loaded' any time now.
Congrats folks... Falstaff will be right behind you.

Nah, I get the whole cross country time frame. We've done Texas to Colorado to Las Vegas to Berkeley, CA to Anaheim back to San Antonio. Never in a transport and not with six kids. You're braver than I am, Holly.
And we're doing it again this summer!
I did talk to my MA this morning and he said that the car is waiting on a ship, then it'll probably be 3 more weeks until I get the car. He confirmed that the fact that it's a convertible is why it's taking soooo long. He said that the production numbers for convertibles in 2008 are lower.

hi all. here's an update for the elektra. sorry, i can't figure out how to get the full image in the window. just click on the thumbnail. we're half way across the atlantic now! btw, this has been the most tedious part of "the wait" for me thus far! i just bought the m7 stb, so now i have 2 things before the mini has arrived....this is a sickness! i thought getting the stb would help with the wait.....it hasn't
. holly, you are due for some good news.....our cabrio's were born the same week!! i bet it's headed your way on the k-line

I too have a JCW, but I am on the Elektra (how cool of a boat name is that? might even become my mini's name) and will not port until this Saturday.
What is the expected time for a cehicle to be at the port, one getting JCW that is. Man, I thought the JCW would be installed already too. I didn't know that it all takes place at the VDC
