My car shows on order, but I was told by customer service that production will begin the week of the 27th.

Count me out. After placing my order, I decided to buy a new 2007 off the lot. Got a great deal!

I am picking it up tomorrow. SS/B, w/ premium, lounge leather & piano black interior.

 

If I order this weekend what production week will I be in? Oxygen Blue or Pepper White you can tell by my signature which way I am leaning at the current time

 

Me again! (I answered your question about Flow/Hendrick in another thread...).

I ordered from Hendrick on Jan 12 and received a production number on the spot which placed me in Week 4. My understanding is that your assignment of a production number and the time it takes for your "number to come up," so to speak, depends on dealer allocation and whether your dealer has open spots where he can "sub you in" or whether he has to wait for further allocation. Both Hendrick and Flow move lots of Minis, so my guess is that your production slot would not be more than a couple of weeks out from order date at either dealership. (Hope I'm not spraying BS here, but I'm telling you what I've learned from personal experience and DAYS of reading forum posts!)

What I find interesting is that I ordered Jan 2 and the dealer says my production week in #6, which he says is the 2nd week of Feb. The Owners' Lounge still shows "On Order", but the dealer's display indicates as above. He said the OL is usually 2 days behind.

Regardless, it is what it is and I'm in it for the long run--or should I say 'those runs' which comes sometime between now and the end of March

 

P.S.
Google Maps now allows you to edit routes on-screen by dragging the line. If you zoom in, you can find the side routes and bypass anything that looks straight or boring.

Ask MINI rep today says week 6 (2d week of Feb) production is expected to arrive at dealers first week of March (3 wks after production ends). Does this square with what everyone else is hearing?

Just about the same here- I was told week 5 for production and to expect delivery at dealers by end of Feb-beginning of March.

I guess I'm in here with you guys - DH ordered my car on Christmas Eve, and at the last check with my sales person, my car should go into production the first week of February.

So should I expect to get it in Dallas in early March???

If mine (Week 6) is expected at dealer 1st week of March, I would guess yours should be last week of Feb.

My dealer told me today that he had seen some orders speed up by a week, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Probably also depends on proximity to the VPC -- does MINI only use Elizabeth NJ and Port Hueneme CA like BMW? Or is there a gulf port PDC?

 

I called Mini today and I was bumped up to week 4- my car has already begun production!

So I guess I have to bump myself from this thread...

I have no idea how it happened- just random, dumb luck.
The Owner's Lounge is still just saying 'on order'- but when calling the "askmini" they were not only able to tell me production started today, but gave me my VIN number- it does seem to pay to call periodically- they seem to be 'all knowing'!

Well, you do want the paint dry. Just try not to watch it. Seems to make time drag.

 

OK, gang. ASK-MINI told me that my car started production today. Seems that either every tracking tool missed the Scheduled for Production landmark or I skipped it. I am Week 6. Ordered 13 Jan.

 

hi, my name is oxtox and i have a mini problem. on order, one brg mcsc sidewalk. week 6 just can't get here soon enough for me. sadly, the owners lounge still has me "on order," and that cute tune they play when you click on "track my mini" isn't so cute anymore. i envy those of you who've been bumped up! i'm trying to call 866-ask-mini only twice a week for fear that they'll soon block my calls. at least in the meantime i can work on a name. suggestions are welcome.
