R56 Production Week 41 Support Group!

If you're in production week 41... this is the place to be.

I ordered my MCS on 9/25 from Holly at Otto's MINI in Westchester, PA. It's in production now, and is scheduled for completion on 10/9. It's a:

Dark Silver/Black with Premium, Sport, Convenience, and Cold Weather packages
Manual Transmission
Limited Slip Differential
Sport Suspension
Navigation
Checked Carbon Black Cloth Seats
Anthracite Headliner
Brushed Alloy Interior Surfaces
Rear Fog Lamps
Sport Stripes (in Black)

Upon receipt:

- Windows will be tinted to 30% (legal limit in PA) all around
- Wheel arches will be painted.
- Alta Intercooler added.

Anyone else have confirmation for week 41?

I ordered my mini on 9/24 from Moterwerks MINI of Minnesota. It is currently in the 'Body shop', completion date is the 10/6. I assume that makes me week 41 as well, so you have a little company

What all did you change from your original order, just the seats?

woot! my mini was just assigned a vin! it's alive!

nice job on all those pepper whites! my mom ordered one of those (with a black roof) two days after i ordered mine. it's gonna look fantastic! funny thing is, though, that hers is due to finish production one day before mine... go figure. (the vin on her car is some thirty digits below mine, too.)

do they do runs of one color at a time, or what? does anyone know?

OMG!!! mine has its VIN today too!! I think they do everything in the masses...thats the only problem with the OL its not minute by minute haha

I did think of something that MINI really should consider (even if they charged for it) is pictures of your MINI through the stages of production...imagine if you had a picture of you car when it was just a frame!!! "And heres when he got his fenders. And thats when he got his color. Oh and look at this one...windows. And oh look...he took his first step" haha that would be awesome and honestly id probly pay a little for those

nice. they'll be headin' out to the boats before long.

it's funny you should mention the pictures -- i was just talking with someone today about that very thing. i'd be willing to pay a reasonable amount (not to exceed ~$200) to get a hardbound picture-book of snaps as my car was being assembled, fedex'd the day it was completed. it'd definitely give me something to stare at while i'm waiting for the boat.

Called "Ask Mini" back and got the Vin # / verified options and found out it goes to the body/shop/paint next. Moving right along - I continue to be impressed at the speed this takes place - then how "slow" it goes waiting for a ride to the US...

awesome! i just checked on mine a minute ago -- it's becoming a daily ritual -- and it's apparently moved along to the body shop.

i've been checking on my mom's car as well, and it's being painted as we speak. hers seems to be a consistent 24-hours ahead of mine. i hope they make the same boat!

what kinds of bells and whistles did y'all get? anybody planning any tweaks/mods?

I actually got mine pretty basic (tryin to keep the price down) i mainly did interior add ons because i can change the outside better later...cream white line, piano black interior, checkered seats, anthracite headliner, fog lights....later i will add...dark as legal tint, driving lamp rack for bottom grill, checkered mirror covers, checkered dash, racing strips (black on bonnet and boot white on roof), brake calipers painted checkered , blacked out on all the chrome exterior (i already bought the black out tape for the belt line), and much much more

Now i am going to call ask mini hahaha

Ordered mine from Rachel at Bill Jacobs Mini in Naperville, Il on 10/3. Called 1-866-ASK-MINI on 10/5 and and found out my car went into production on 10/4 and it is in week 41. Called back a couple of hours later and verified the info.

MCS, PW/B, auto, black lounge leather, anthracite headliner, cold weather an sport packages, chrome line interior, Piano Black interior surface, hifi sound, and some other stuff.

For the east coast, we have two sets of choices... for the north:

SOUTHAMPTON 12/10/2007 NEW YORK, NY 22/10/2007 LIBERTY EB741-LIB
SOUTHAMPTON 16/10/2007 NEW YORK, NY 25/10/2007 OTELLO EA741-OTL
SOUTHAMPTON 20/10/2007 NEW YORK, NY 29/10/2007 COURAGE EB742-COG

and for the south:

SOUTHAMPTON 12/10/2007 CHARLESTON,SC 27/10/2007 LIBERTY EB741-LIB
SOUTHAMPTON 20/10/2007 CHARLESTON,SC 03/11/2007 COURAGE EB742-COG
SOUTHAMPTON 27/10/2007 CHARLESTON,SC 10/11/2007 INTEGRITY EB743-ITG

I'm hoping to make the Liberty!

How do you know what week you are in? I called my MA today and they said they started production on mine today. OL still says on order.

the OL is pretty lame. the ask-mini mini toll free number (866-ASK-MINI) is quite a bit better. you'll need the 7-digit production order number from the OL or your MA. with that, it'll give you a better idea of where your mini is in the production pipeline. to get a really good idea, stay on the line and ask for a representative.

once you have the date for your mini, it's easy to use a calendar (http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/...oon=on&hol=255) to figure out what week you're in.
