This thread has been silent for a while so I thought I would awaken it! Those of you whose cars did not ship on WW lines, were you able to find out if your MINI shipped on one of the other lines? My car made it to the port of exit around 10/11 but I do not know whether it has shipped yet. WW website does not show anything for my VIN. I think there are 2 other shipping lines other than WW. They are NYK lines and K-Line. I was able to get in touch with someone at K-Line via email and it seems like my VIN does not show up anywhere in their system either. So my car is either still waiting at the port or it could be on one of the NYK line vessels. On the other hand, I have concluded that my dealer has no clue as to whether my MINI has shipped or not since they are not responding to my emails. When the dealer survey comes in at some point, I will be sure to express my dissatisfaction about "being left in the dark" during the shipping phase of my car!

 

The NYK line is seldom used lately so just keep checking the WW pages, and if you have found someone at K-Line that responds, keep checking with him/her.

 

West Coast Week 41 folks are taking a coffe break and waiting for our ship to hit Panama on the 27th = it should start to pass through the "locks" on the 28th - I am sure "Tharkun" will be around to give us the links on the 27 and get us started on the locks... Wow!! That was fast!! Yours finished production on 10/8 if I recall correctly, is that right? Congratulations!!!

My 10/10 production is still sitting on the docks in Southampton!

You are right the production date was 10/8. My theory is that someone with a car similar to mine, changed or cancelled their order and my Mini was built ahead of others ordered earlier. My son's Mini was ordered 2 days ahead of mine but is dark silver and has other features.... His will be at the dealership tomorrow, we think.

 

Congratulations again Kallum!! I think you will hold the record for the shortest delivery time!

 

Yours was on the liberty right? or was it on an earlier boat? How long was the time from dock to dealer? (including time at VDC)

mine missed that boat by a couple hours... so i ended up on the liberty, four days later. mom gets to pick hers up this week... no fair, right? :impatient

Liberty got in today and already left the port so hopefully u can have urs thur or fri....mine gets into SC on the 26th and my MA said their shop gets them usually in 4-5 days after that so im hopeing

 

I did actually offer to not pick my Mini up until Jason's came in.... Fortunately, he is too nice to take me up on my offer!! Whew.

 

the aida arrived and was unloaded on the 18th, and the mini was at the dealership yesterday... so 2 days. we're in philadelphia, so it's not too far away from the vdc. (~125 miles.)

it's not that i'm nice, mind you... i just know that if mine were here first, i'd be all up in it.

Congratulations jallum!!! My Week 41 production will arrive in Charleston within the next few days. I am having the JCW aero kit installed at the VDC so I am not sure how much delay that will cause. I am hoping to pick up mine by mid-November.

So mine got on a truck today and should be at the dealer in the morning (SC to Florida nice) and my MA is gunna try and make it availble for the afternoon!!!! OMG I may be motoring in my MINI tomorow!!!!!!!

Checkercoop, who is your dealer in Florida? I will be picking up mine from Lauderdale MINI but I am getting JCW body kit installed at the VDC and I am not sure how much delay that will cause. It seems like cars that are not having anyhing installed at the VDC are making it to the dealers within a few days after arriving at the port.

 

Im at Downtown MINI in Orlando (though i grew up in pompano beach )
Yeah i think no matter what the time is guna be faster than expected, but i didnt have any thing extra installed...mine must have only been at the VDC a day or day and a half...it got off the boat sat at 3pm...today (monday) it got on the truck and my MA said it should be there in the morning and they should have it gone through and checked for afternoon pickup...hopefully...i'll be getting a call in the morning

So, those of you who have production week 41 cars, have you picked up your cars yet?

My dealer just informed me that my car arrived at the dealer today! Owners' Lounge also showed today as the estimated delivery date. I plan to pick up my car this Friday afternoon. It took exactly 6 weeks from the order to the arrrival at the dealer.
