Only!! I'm gasping - but it's not from horror ...

Congratulations on your move to the dark side. Frodo looks great!! What a shine!!

I have drooled over the results of a PC for some time... Guess I should put that on my Christmas list for this year. Did you get the DP one?

I found that my Black WOW evened out a bit after the first wash (or rain).

So - let me know when you want to try 'accountant' and take on whatever new tax stuff we get this next year.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi all! I'm out of the daily NAM routine this year I guess. . . School is more busy than ever!

Scoop had a great day with the chili cook off with my local driving club. Chili and spag sauce competition, with lots of great extras! I made chicken chile, which disappeared quickly, but won no prizes. Ah well, it was a great day nonetheless. Off to San Diego tomorrow for a nice drive and a day at the museums in Balboa Park.

All your MINIs look gorgeous! Mini2Na- did you ever imagine 1 1/2 years ago you would enjoy spending money on car products AND charging to detail cars???

Have a great Veterans Day all!

Already we are bustling into November, Thanksgiving just 3 weeks away, my Christmas shopping not even started........and I am sick as a dog with a head cold that had crept (not silently!) into my chest. I truly love autumn, with all the leaves turning, sweater weather, comfort foods, and flu season. Gotta love it. As a result, Kermie has been stuck in the garage for a better part of the week. Detailing is out for the time being. Poor boy. As usual, his boot is dreadfully dirty. But, I may yet drag myself out of the house. McCormick & Schmick's having their annual "free entree" for veterans today. I may have to partake. Good food always cheers me up.

A Lazy Weekend...Ahhhh!! It's almost Noon and I have yet to get up from my chair and get going on the day, oh well, I deserve it after the week I had.

Molly got the Royal Treatment yesterday, I used Griot's Spray-On Car Wash and have to say I was astonished by the results. As MINI2na will ateast Molly is definitely a Princess and treated as such. I was a little leary of using the stuff, but was very impressed at how she looks after getting a "No Water...Bath". I still need to 303 the interior and she will be ready for the week of Showers and Rain!!

I Salute our Armed Froces Personnel...I come from a long line of Military Family, including a Brother still serving in the Naval Reserves, who has served two tours in Ar Riyad, Saudi Arabia, an Uncle who was the Hospital Administrator at Bethesda Naval Hospital, Bethesda, Md., a Son in Law who is currently serving in the AF, stationed in AK and who lost his Brother in Iraq. I myself served a short term in the AF before my Daughter was born. Hug your Sons and Daughters and the next time you see a man/woman in uniform show them how proud we are of them and Thank Them for Serving Our Country!!
***Flag Waving***...***Hand Over my Heart***...
***Singing "The Star Spangled Banner"***
Happy Veteran's DaY!!

Ahhh, the ultimate compliment! Yesterday, was heading south to San Diego, and just sort of aware of the ocean glimmering to my right. All of a sudden, my older son started laughing and said, "Mom! That SUV just took a picture of Scoop!" Sure enough! Well, how could the day get any better than that???

Frodo is in for his yearly service. 12K+ miles. Should be ready by 3P.

Happy Veterans Day everyone. Enjoy your day.

I'm hoping for round two on the service before I get crazy busy in a month or two. we have almost 28k and the service thing says we only have 2500 to go until the next spa treatment...

RJ my son is also AF, stationed in Sacramento, currently in Kuwait. I share your sentiments!!

Scoopmamma - nice to know you have a celebrity in the family... You do need to be extra careful with the paparazzi though...

So I'm thinking this spring you northern people are going to have to host some detailing demos. This time of years it just too depressing to spend the time cleaning when a few miles into the drive I get a 'shower' from a passing log truck

Next week the hubby turns the big 60! I won't say what is going to happen in case he has figured out how to lurk here - but I'll report afterwords

Have a great weekend everyone!

Wooo Hooo!! Can't Wait...MINICounter!! Wish Hubby a Happy 60th from US!! (if it won't peak his curiosity)

I hope for a Safe Return for your Son!! ***Waving the American Flag!!***

Scoopmama...I know what you're saying...a few weeks ago I had a car wash it's windows right in front of me...right after Molly had been primped over the weekend!! I can help with Product questions and I guess Mini2na is now an 'expert' with the tools!!

Happy Birthday Terry.

Expert on the tools? I'm not sure I'm ready to say that yet. Did you see the Vendor Announcement that Autopia Auto Care has 20% off? I have not bought from there yet, but all the products are first rate. I think I need to order some 303 protectant and an orange pad for the PC for the more damaged cars I attempt.

Detailing cars at this time of year is fruitless. The waterless car wash stuff sound interesting though.

My wife continue to look for the car of her dreams. No purchase yet, but we drove the BMW 328i and the Audi A4. I would have gone with the 328, but she loved the A4. Within the next couple of years the Subaru will go to one of the girls and we will be in the market for an 07-08 A4 I guess. I am talking to her about the possibility of looking at an electric vehicle by that time, but....

I finished my first paying tile job. Beautiful ceramic tile on a laundry room floor. The lady was tickled with the job. I got my first TIP!!!

May God watch over all our service people during these troubled times.

So yesterday the Durango had to be emissioned and "Passed", BUT after we got home it started idling REALLY fast, instead of 700rpm, it was running at 3700rpm!!?? Luckily our Dealer's Service Dept. is open on Saturday, so I called and let them know we were on our way. Hubby managed to get the Durango there with out any issues, I hopped in Molly and off we went.

I had just gotten there a few minutes before Hubby, he took all Freeway, I was walking up to the Service Dept. Office and a AWMD employee asked me, "Are you Molly??"..."NO!!", I said "Molly's my car!!"

So with only Molly in the Garage this weekend, Hubby had scheduled a Fantasy Baseball Meeting with a Friend, so now I'm without Molly and not able to give her the bath I had planned.

Enjoy what's left of your Sunday everyone!!

Well, it IS a beautiful day in the NW. In fact, it's a great day to climb up on someone elses roof and clean their gutters for them. Afterwards maybe Frodo gets a bath.

RJ, Molly will forgive you for not getting a bath today. Sometimes she loves to run with the regular cars.

Enjoy!

35 days until Christmas. Somebody shoot me now. I am unprepared. I don't even have cards lined up for the signing ritual. At least I don't have to host Thanksgiving dinner. We are headed to Modesto, CA for that.

Kermit was not invited. He is pouting in the garage. The spouse's mammoth truck was enlisted as our ferrier with the comment "I will not be stuck in that tin can for twelve hours with you and two dogs!" Kermit is certainly not a tin can; he is just...dainty.

Ah well, he could use a rest from the miles; he is driving his way through his warranty fairly rapidly anyway. I am in contemplation of the maintenance warranty extender - $1800 - but it could save a bit of cash in the long run. I have until summer to decide. Probably ought to start saving now.

Well Kimberely...you can come to our house while your Hubby takes his "Monster Truck" and the Dogs to CA. We are going to Gustov's for Dinner and enjoying our 4-Day Weekend!! As far as Christmas, we don't put up a tree and/or decorate, cards and gifts go out but the Postman delivers those. If it will make you feel any better have some Egg Nog and Black Rum like I do most nights.

My husband fancies himself the King of Holiday Decorations. The inside and outside of our house will be twinkling just as soon as we get back from the in-laws. As for the eggnog, liberal amounts of brandy, please!!!!!

Count me in on some of that NOG! Sounds good. Maybe us Vancouver area Minites should get together some afternoon for some holiday cheer. I'm sure our babies would love to get together in the parking lot too.

My home tile job is moving along. I like tiling. It is precise and makes a big impact. Unfortunately, I will NOT be done for Thanksgiving, but should have a nice pathway from the door to the kitchen passable. We are going to the in-laws for the dinner so we won't have a crowd.

Have a safe and happy holiday everyone!

Good idea on the Nog get-together. Keep me posted.

Tiling is a tedious pastime, but so worth it. We did our entryway, laundry room, and kitchen. Next will be the bathrooms, but we are apprehensive about removing the toilet to tile underneath. Mayhap we will need to consult you on this Mini2na.

We should do something over these next couple of weeks...give Thanks for our MINIs, enjoy the Christmas Cheer (Egg Nog & Rum) and look forward to many more Fun filled Years with our MINIs!!

Mini2na...I've got to say that every time I hear you doing another project, be it Paid or un-paid...I get more and more ideas...STOP IT!! T

This economy is NOT condusive to any large Home Imporvement Projects right now. I thought I was going to be able to put Glass Front Doors on our Living Room Fireplace...but due to the economy I think it will have to wait.

I am going to (if I can find the stuff I've already purchased) Faux Finish a Counter Top over our Buffet in the Formal Dining Room. It is the awful Butcher Block Formica.***gagging sounds*** The cabinets need a desperate sanding and either painting or re-staining...haven't decided which. A much cheaper project than the Fireplace.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I hope this special day finds all of you and your families happy and healthy. We have lots to be thankful for. Enjoy your day and don't eat too much.

Let's hope the Seahawks don't lose too badly to the Cowboys.

RJ, I need to make an order to DP. If you want to go together on it we might save on some shipping. Give me a call if you want to.

Happy Thanksgiving, all! I hope everyone had a wonderful day. We drove through a nice cold rain out to Temecula, and when we crested the Ortega Hwy, the clouds were gorgeous! Much more like being in New Mexico right after a storm than California. In-laws hosted the dinner and I brought the pies and veggie tray.

Your Nog fest sounds FUN! I'll be there in spirit
