After tons of research, lots of fingernail biting and a long glance at my finances, I finally took the plunge and ordered an Astro Black MCSC Sidewalk from the South Bay MINI dealership.

It was a tough choice between the new hardtop 2007s (with higher torque) or a convertible (it never rains in Southern California?)... and I paid the extra $$$ for the latter. I'm only young once?

Will the convertible support group please raise their hands? I'm going to need it, hehe...

I'm looking forward to getting involved w/ the local clubs in SoCal (Super Secret I see you) as well as the Motoring Hearts crew.

It looks like both our babies are gonna be delivered together!!!

The South Bay MINI folks were great yeah? Did you test drive the car at the industrial complex next to the dealer? The guy told me to drive as fast as I could into a 90 degree turn... I couldn't believe the handling!

Anyhow, really excited and can't wait to get motoring. Maybe I'll see you at the dealership lol

 

Congrats - you will LOVE the Cabrio!!! An expensive little mod but well worth it will be the windscreen...

Heh thanks! I was told that if I had the windscreen that people couldn't sit in the back... hmm, do I want to be a nice motoring buddy and let people ride or do I want to stay warm... tough call. :-)

Hey congrats on your new cabrio order. I just received mine at the dealership on Saturday. It was the first Sidewalk received in Sacramento so it was a big deal. Your going to love it !
