What u guys think of these wheels?

Hey guys,

I have been searching thru ebay and some wheel sites and I really like the mesh look for the wheels on a Cooper S. The two piece r90's are real nice, but way too expensive for my budget right now and plus they dont come wit black centers. I am thinking about gettin these adr m classics. Anyone have experience with these wheels, hows the quailty, and will they fit wit no rubbin having an et of 45 and being size 17x7.5 on m7 or h sport springs? Heres the ebay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17-BL...spagenameZWDVW

what is it with people and ebay???

Ive purchased 2 cars on ebay, wheels, toys, video games, car parts, stereo equip, even a motor for my VW, and i have yet to have any problems.

Just because you have one issue, i wouldnt run people away from one of the best ways to get really cheap items.

$300 bucks is a steal for 4 new wheels. Just make sure shipping isnt like $400 bucks, lol.

M-Classics is probably one of the few good wheels ADR ever knocked off
imho although they weight considerably.

if it's a reputable Ebay store i wouldn't mind buying it, but if not,
check out the Flik (as above) and the black mesh ASA's (Tirerack).

I buy and sell plenty on ebay and have never had an issue. However, in this case:

1) You would be paying a total of $450 with shipping
2) Would not have proper metal centering rings included (add $25 if you can find them)
3) Have no possibility of returning the wheels if you are not satisfied or can't find centering rings

Just don't make no sense.

That's my car! Those are 18's. Before the lowering and before the change to Centerlines that are now in Xalfa's hands! (Which he still hasn't posted a picture )

Hey nparker i was thinking about gettin the 18" flik wasps with black centers from edgeracing if they are still having that special for $99 a wheel!! You cant beat it...theyre selling 18s for cheaper than 17's!!! Only prolem is I really didnt wanna go wit 18's, for then i wud def havta to lower the car to get its stance right and i am afraid of a really jarring ride and some possible rubbing. What suspension are u runnin? Ur car looks awesome in that pic and im just picturing my all red s wit some color coded arches hopefully with those same wheels but in black. Thanks for any info!

I am pretty sure, nparker is going to agree with me since he is on h-sport springs with stock sus. I would say get the 18s with some nice tires (you don't have to get ultra performance summer, you can go with all weather high performance tires), try to stay at 42 mm offset and tire size recommendation, if there is a lowering mod in the future 215/35/18 and if not 205/40/18 or even 215/40/18. I have slight rubbing if i take a deep dip on very high speeds, nothing irritating though. As far as the ride, is slightly better than the previous stock susp. with 17s and runflats. Go for it, and join the 18s club

I'm currently running H-Sports on the stock dampers. I' ll be putting on coilovers over the holidays. I had 215/35-18 on the Fliks, on my Centerlines I ran 205/40-18. If I had to do it over again with 18's, I'd run the 205/40-18s. Better ride quality and the overall diameter is the closest to the stock 205/45-17. With the H-sports, the 205/40's filled the wheel well better, with less gap. The 215/35s still left too much gap in my opinion. The dark rims with the all red will look awesome!

Just be weary of the quality of both Fliks and ADR's.

Would you say that their quality is wearisome?

I have the flik's on my car and while I am happy with them for what they are I wouldnt even consider using them on the track. Just not comfortable putting it all on the line with a $99 wheel.

Fliks and ADRs are not going to be BBS, OZ or Ray's quality. If you are willing to accept that, and most are for the price, then either should be a good wheel. The Flik wasp is nice, but there are a lot of them and they don't look as clean as the ADR MClassic, IMO.

Here is a link to the cheapest MClassics I could find (@$110 ea for 17in):

Edge racing is the ONLY place that even sells Flik wheels. ADRs are much more popular on online stores and are easier to find.

Good luck!

Indeed. To not be wary of this weariness would be worrisome.
