Back when I was managing construction projects got to know a little about electrical motors, pump and bearings that has a little to do with the question above. Electrical motors are sometimes rated in hours same thing with bearings and pumps. The greater the amount of hours, the longer the part is suppose to last. The hour rating is directly related to the cost, higher hour rating, higher cost. In this instance the OP is looking at a part that contains an electric motor along with bearings. What hour rating is the motor and bearings in that pump?

Detroit Tuned and Way Motors are both vendors here but they also have full service shops. It is logical to assume that when you are warranting the parts you install, you use parts that last longer so you do not have to spend labor money removing and replacing. IMO neither of them use non name brand parts similar to some of those that are sold on ebay.

I ended up getting a low mileage used pump from a member here. After talking to a few local shops the EBay pumps are hit or miss. But at half price if you do the work yourself it's worth the gamble. It's really a simple job. Had old pump out and new one in in under a half hour.

Thanks for the update never heard of the OSIAS brand, just watch those ebay, amazon, and aliexpress ones as most of them are dead on arrival. BMW ones have some really bad reviews on DOA. We are here for you if you have a problem.
" Leaks oil from the internals, failed, no response from manufacturer for warranty replacement. "

Glad it worked out for you.

I purchased a new OASIS pump of Ebay 11 months ago for $380 and it has now failed. OASIS says they offer a 1 year warranty, but they have not responded to multiple emails. I've also read in multiple places not to use OASIS. Live and learn.

Hi, so not even the BMW oem pumps are reliable? What is the warranty and replacement procedure with ECS?
Thanks in advance for your comment.

I love ECS, but for parts like this that are common failures you need FCP Euro...they have LIFETIME warranty on parts.
Only the PSA one for $600 but it will be the last one you have to buy.

It's been 6-7 years since you posted this. Is it still working?

I have purchased 2 of them along with another cheaper ebay HPFP and all of them were DOA. I ended up getting one from FCPEuro that fixed the problem...very costly, but it still works today. The ebay remans are very hit and miss and have the potential to fail quickly.

Thanx for getting back so quickly! This is awesome news and makes me feel very good about my choice to use OE or OEM parts in my Mini Cooper. In case you hadn't followed my HPFP thread, I installed mine June 2nd, 2022 with 91,870 on the odometer. As I sit I have almost 136K on the odometer and the HPFP is still working like brand new. That's about 45K miles. And though it's not that hard to replace, it's not a job I want to do over and over again, for sure.

Thanx again!

D

"Great results" is subjective. With all due respect, it would be much better to have the actual data on the installs. How many miles have they lasted so far? How long ago were they installed? This would be much better information than "great results." Again, with all due respect, I trust data much more than I trust opinions. My FCPEuro OEM HPFP has a little over 45,000 miles on it and is still going strong. Oh....and it carries a lifetime warranty.
