For those running 8 inch wide tire - Fitment issues ?

I need to buy new wheels and tires this weekend and curious about going with a 16 x 8 size. What offset should I be looking for? Do I need to run spacers and what kind of fitment issues will I encounter? Do I need to hack out **** ?

I need to buy these wheels by Sunday so please help. This is my first time buying after market wheels for a car.

Thanks guys

What size tires? My gut says an et of about 35-38 should work ok for 16x8, but
maybe someone with firsthand experience can chime in here.

I need to figure this out soon. The track tires I have on the stock rims are going to get shredded off this saturday then I have a buyer for the rims on sunday. I dont want to leave the car on jackstands that long.

Research is so key right now bc I do not have the money for trial and error. Any help is immensely appreciated.

I like the wider tires for the stability and the looks. My car does not under steer any more. I put a Hotchkis Sport 25mm rear sway bar on the rear and it made a big difference.

Rennfahrer555, look for a wheel specialty shop in your area and ask for their advice. I went to the Bentley and Lamborghini dealer near me and asked who they used for a wheel shop. The directed me to a place called Wheel Specialists in Tempe. They were able to help me with everything I needed. They are able to take all kinds of measurements and can tell you what you can use and should use.
I met the manager there and I found out that he actually races a GP MINI so he had some good information for me.
Where are you located? Maybe somebody here can point you in the right direction.
