Ordered new wheels and tires

I ordered 16x7 MB Motorsports Weapons in gunmetal with a 38mm offset, and got them wrapped in 225/45-16 Hankook Ventus RS-2s to boot! I was considering the new Falken Azenis or Kumho Ecsta MX, but had to have the 225 width, and Hankook was the only way to go. Still have stock suspension, but may do a few mods in the spring. I daily-drive the car about 55-60 miles per day, and the stock tires weren't cutting it any more. My old daily driver had Kumho Victoracers, and it was great!

Here's a couple pics of what's to come, and I'll post pics of them mounted this weekend:

I had 17x7 40mm offset wheels on for quite a while with 215/45-17 tires and really loved the extra width it gave to the car, and figured an extra 7mm on each side wouldn't be an issue. If I do end up lowering the car, it will be a minimal amount, mainly to lower roll center and gain camber and stiffer damping, not so much for cosmetics.

yeh, i think if you do 205/50's when you lower it you'll get moderate rubbing but a little dremel action will take care. those are good lookin wheels btw.

I was looking specifically for a glossy gunmetal or black wheel to compliment the car, which is DS/B

gstockmini, keep this thread going as updates become availabe

I'm thinking about changing my "hstockmini" to an STS car next year, and I'd like to run this size of wheel and that tire. I'd like to know if it'll rub or whatever.
