Opinions and Will It Fit

I've spent a ridiculous amount of time looking for wheels for my '05 MCS (CR/W) but haven't really come across many that meet the budget and look good. I widened my search recently and came across a Honda (gasp!) HFP wheel that I like. Its a 6.5 X 16 with 45 offset Weight is 19 lbs. It is, of course, a 4X100. So everything looks OK but I'm wondering about the center bore. What does Honda use?

Honda uses a 56 mm hub. There are very few 16x6.5 rims on the market, SSR's, Monza, and Rota are the few that come to mind. The newest to the party is the Rota Slipstream. Are you trying to stay with factory sizes for autocross? If not wheels that are 16x7 are much easier to find.

While I do want to stay with a 16, its mostly for ride/comfort issues - not auto-x. I've looked at Rotas (and lots of others) but just never saw anything I really liked the look of that fit the budget. These HFP wheels just happen to be 6.5 wide but with the 56 center bore it looks like these would be plug 'n play for the MINI ?

Please, please...

Are you telling me you've looked at EVERY wheel on the market and THAT is your favorite?!?!?! Don't do that... Plus the hub of the mini is 56.1mm... could be a problem...

holly crap! look at that list!

Are you a cousins with minihune?

back to the fitment, most civics and teg's use 4x100 56.1mm center
bore which is the same as our MINI's.

well, I left those out because most of the sites I listed sell the same wheels as those but way cheaper.

I like the look of those wheels although a little heavy @ 19lbs but, should be plenty strong.
Mini hub is 56.1mm which means you'll have to bore out the center hole. I'm sure it wouldn't cost much but, I'd have it done by a machine shop.. don't think I'd tackle it with a dremmel.
You should also check the taper of the lug hole as compaired to the taper of the Mini's lug bolt. They may be the same... I just don't know.

you could get rid of .1 MM with a file!

to take it to a machine shop like where i work and use a mill ( I use a Thompson) it would cost about 25 bucks a wheel to mill .1 MM off because of the size of the wheel, needs a special magnetic chuck to hold it down.

Just hammer it on with a 5lbs mallet and you don't even have to use lugs! 1lb weight savings. j/k

We are discussing cast automobile wheels, not fine machinery parts. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but I doubt that the bore is even manufactured to a 0.1 mm tolerance. I would guess that the bores in the 4 wheels already vary by than 0.1 mm just between each other. Chances are that the wheels will fit perfectly.

Oh, I didn't list them so the OP could buy them. I listed them so he could look at styles.

BTW, edge racing is pretty cheap, but 1010 isn't.

The stock Honda wheels WILL fit the MINIs hub. I can say from firsthand Honda-to-MINI wheel-swapping experience, and having owned 9 Civics of various years and models.
