2014 Mini Cooper winter tire / rims compatibility
hello, I am looking to buy a used set of winter tires and rims off a classifieds site here in Canada. I am fairly confident these will fit but I don’t want to make the mistake of buying non compatible rims/tires. My Mini is a basic 2014 Mini Cooper hard top. I attached pictures of my current tires/rims and a snapshot of the listing. My current setup is 195/55/R16 (5 bolts). The wheels I’m looking to purchase are Pirelli 175/65 R15 (5 bolts) with Mini rims. Please see pics. Anyone have any advice? Will these fit on my car? Thanks for your time.

No pics, but if they are 5x112 rims then you should be fine.

Didn't end up getting the rims. Looking to buy just plain black steel ones. So I will be ok with any 5 x 112 rim? I have been searching classifieds and noticed many european cars also use the same bolt pattern (Volkswagen, etc)

VW wheels have a 57.1 mm hub bore
compared to 56.1 mm for MINI, so
they would be a little loose centering
on the hub but would fit.
Also need to check that the offset is in the
right range.

OEM wheels for 15" for 2014 Cooper are 15x7 with 45 mm offset 5x112 bolt pattern with 56.1 mm hub bore.
Any offset in the 40-48 range should be fine. 40 mm will stick out 5 mm more than stock.
Consider calling Tire Rack or Discount Tire Direct to set up an order with 4 wheels with tires mounted and balanced with TPMS valves.
