Wheels sound like a decent fit, but 205/40 is a very small tire for a Cooper. 215/45/17 or 205/45/17 (oe S lite size) are better choices.

O.K.
How about a link to a pic. Need to see the wheels, you didn't think everyone knows what they look like did you?

I’m running 215/45-17’s and I’m thinking about going to 225’s but don’t know if the Flaken’s are sold in that size. I’m not using Flaken’s at the moment.

I have heard that the 225s will fit on a non lowered MINI, but the Falkens have a "large" shoulder and will rub 4 sure...
would do the 225/45/17 Falken Azenis in a heartbeat if I thought I didnt have to do some major fendor remodeling work.

Reason: Falkens are 225/45/17 not 225/40/17 change made

I've got the Faulken Azenis 225/45/17 - the rubbing is minimal.
