MINI S gets new rotors and lines
I got new EBC slotted and dimpled rotors (front only) and StopTech Stainless Steel brake lines (all four corners) for my birthday this weekend. I am using ATE Super Blue fluid and Ferodo 2500 brake pads.
Everything got installed in a couple hours. Started doing some 80-20 mph stops to start getting them bedded in. It's nice when the highway is empty on Sunday!
Here's some pictures of the old and new. Note: I painted the center of the rotors black for aesthetic reasons.

Nice brakes.
The Ferodo DS2500 pads should work great for the track or autocross, just heat them up and serve.
Your EBC rotors are nicely finished but with heat the protective finish may wear off. Also with the dimples and slots your pads might wear a bit faster.
Overall from your new pads and brakefluid I'd expect you to be happy with your brake performance.
What did you use to mask off the disc of the rotor when painting the center black? Did you use black spray paint or bush it on? Good idea to paint since that will keep the rust away and it matches your black wheels. You even have a BMW centercap!

Nice job, now you need to paint your those calipers!
So is the stopping performance much improved and worth the expense? And if you know can you tell us what the cost was for the alteration and how much time it took you to do the work?
Thanks for the photos too!

Thanks for all the compliments.
Yep, the rotors are shiny SILVER now. I am working hard to bed them in. The pedal is a bit firmer and the next track session will let me know how the fade reduction over stock works.
The job took a total of about two hours including all four brake lines and bleeding. Cost for the rotors was $170 and the lines $110. Paint was $8 a can.
I painted the rotors before assembly and used blue painters tape. I sprayed it on. It's 1500 degree heat resistant paint.
Actually, I did paint the calipers bright silver. My Audi S4 and Carrera have red calipers so I wanted something different.
Thanks again!
