16x7 Gunmetal

Was going to wait for hyper black to come back in stock but I think the Gunmetal looks sharp!

I've searched, googled and searched again, but can't find an answer.

Can anybody tell me definitively whether 15x7 rb's will fit on a stock r53 without spacers? I love the classic look of the rb, but 16s are just so darn heavy - especially compared to the 7 holies I'm rolling on now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would think Dan might know the answer to this but he doesn't offer 15s so maybe not. I was just looking at some ROTA RB 15x7 with +35 offset weighing in at 14.3 lbs and that would be a nice improvement in looks over the R100 spoolers I'm sitting on without much weight gain. A base r56 has a larger rotor than a base r53 right?

Rota RB 235/40 17 7.5

Dan, will 235/40R17 7.5 work on a Rota RB wheel? Will there be wheel rub that would require spacers?

Sorry, I don't know for sure.

It'll fit an R56 (non-JCW) without rubbing or spacers. JCW would require spacers.

This is that 17x7.5 RB with 235/40R17:

Hey Dan,
have you received any RB 17x7.5, 4Hx100, +45........WHITE w/polished lip?
Yep, I'm still here. I am still without that ONE replacement I need, due to pot hole. I do not require a whole set,......just ONE, White, Rota RB wheel. Thought maybe you would have "inside track" on it......

Anybody have Pepper White. I am trying to decide on a finish. I'm pretty sure the Gloss Black/Mach lip will look good, but so might Gunmetal or Hyper Black. Anybody, or anybody seen a PW that can give an opinion. It's an R53, I'm not blacked out, just the belt line and the grill.
Thx
Tracy

i apparently ordered the last set (in stock, at least) of the flat blacks in 17x7.5 from mach v on friday, i got a nice gash in my original rfts that have about 19k miles on them (was just about to replace them, fortunately). i already ordered/received a set of conti DWs. now i'm waiting to get the rb's, hopefully by this weekend! they should look pretty sharp on BRG2. i'm going to tint the windows too, eventually.

flat black RBs

picked up a set of 17" flat black RBs from Mach V (great vendor, btw, with very prompt shipping) for my mcs. here's a pic from when i picked up the car from the tire/wheel shop (dirty). need to order some centercap decals before putting the center caps on. anyone know of a good place? i remember seeing one retailer with the "S" logo decal, but can't seem to find that site anymore. those are conti dw in 215/45/17, in case anyone was wondering.

Anyone have some Rota RBs on their British Racing Green MINI?

I'm torn as to whether I should get Silver or Gunmetal. My Cooper S has a white top.

Decisions, decisions.

What hardware pack do you have for mounting Dan? I just ordered the 17x7.5 RBs, but with no mounting hardware... can you square me away? I have a 04 Cooper non-S.

hardware pack? the package includes the wheels and the center cap. not sure what else is necessary, unless the r53 is different from the r56. my wheels were plug-n-play. the only thing i had to do was move the tpms from my original wheels to the new wheels.

Kool - just wanted to make sure - I'll get my pics up when I get them mounted. Thanx.

I've got a 300hp 73 Civic hatch, a 400hp Civic Wagovan and a RHD EG hatch with big power... yet I feel like a noob with my new MINI bc I'm MINI stupid -LOL. I'm trying to pedal fast and learn the chassis though.

Rota RB Hyper Black 17x7.5 Cost

When I first started looking at the Rota RB Hyper Black 17x7.5 six months ago didn’t image it would be quite the project; but as of this weekend they are now on my 2011 Mini Cooper S and I love them. Like to thank Dan for all his help and advice. Here are some notes that I thought I would share for anyone looking at these wheels. Going from the stock run flat tires to non-run flats to my surprise the ride is much smother. If ordering Rota RB Hyper Black; have patience it will take anywhere between one to three months depending what date you place your order. No spacers are needed they fit just fine even with the extra wide tread there is no rub when cornering. Below is a cost break down including a set of TPMS sensors that I purchased from the mini dealer as a precaution measure for not having run flats or a spear (this was buy in for my wife).

620.00 Rota RB Hyper Black 17x7.5 Wheels
108.95 Rota RB Hyper Black 17x7.5 Shipping

335.60 TPMS

Do you have any angled pics looking down the side so I can get a better idea of tire fitment/ poke?

She looks good.

looks nice ZippMan,
I am ready to buy tires and new wheels.I am going to get rb's also. I decided on hype black and then found royal hype silver. I cant find any pics of rbs with hyper silver so maybe Ill be different.LOL! I sent the seller a email to see if he in fact has these in stock. Never heard of Royal hyper silver. looks to be a polished aluminum but cant tell by the couple pics Ive found. Should get a reply tomorrow. I have a pepper white also and like a lighter color for wheel... Rbs fit the mini style perfectly!

There are plenty of other pictures in this thread of our car and others with the same wheel and the size tire size. Just read through from the beginning.

Hyper Silver is a more "wet look" version of silver from Rota. We only stock "regular" silver to avoid confusion -- the colors are so close it can be hard to tell the difference.

My question was for Zippman - he appears to have more rear poke than others - so I want to be sure, or it could just be an artifact of the picture angle. A shot looking down the side of the car will clear it up for me.

In other news - my tires are getting mounted right now - pics later.

Current (sorry for the cell phone pics -- I'll get some better ones tomorrow). BFG Comp 2 215/45/17::: I am not a fan of the center cap --- researching cap options that will fit. Any tips would be appreciated.

synopsis...

I've already ordered some 16s and these wheels and tires have been on the car for 3 hours haha. Not sure what fate these will have - they are ALMOST perfect - but 16s w/ the proper tire will give me the look I'm hunting.
