I understood your question. I am running a 205/45R17 on my RB's. If you scroll up a bit you can see it. Dark gray, roof rack, flat black RB's. that should give you an idea of what a 205 will look like on the RB's.

Nice wheels. I was back and forth with the gunmetals versus the flat blacks. If the gunmetals didn't have the polished lip I probably would have gone that route.

Great looking MINI's here!!
Does anyone know if the (17x7.5) RB's will fit with StopTech calipers?
I've had the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1's for ages, and I'm looking for a change.

Thanks!!

Jim

They will NOT fit without a spacer. A 15mm spacer would probably do it.

Here's a few photos of Astro Black with the Rotas. This thread was very helpful in seeing the wheels on a similar car, so I'll share ours, to help others out.

LOL i know its picky, but i'm betting somebody has something like that.

to be even more picky though!!! if they could be hyper black on astro black, that'd be fantastic... thaaanks

2011 Copper S Offset Size

Hello Dan, for the Rota RB what is the offset size to fit a 17" wheel on a 2011 Mini Copper S?

Dan,

I'm curious why you went away from the 235/40 to the 215/45? did you have rubbing issues? I'm running H&R springs (1.4" drop) and I'm debating between these 2 sizes.

Hello Dan I am interested in RB wheels and this thread has been great. I might of missed it, how much do 17 inch weight? Do I need a spacer for stock MCS brakes? I am running DWS 2154517.

On my own car, the Conti DWS that I wanted wasn't available at the time in the wider size. For a recommendation for others, the 215 is a little better fit for the 7.5" wheel than the 235. (235 is pretty fat for a 7.5" wheel.)

did you have rubbing issues?
No.

18.2 pounds.

No.

Yes! You can really feel the weight difference. It's almost ten pounds a corner!

Hey Dan, was curious the minimum size rim in Rota RB's I would be looking at to go with the JCW BBK, saw it with stoptech and a couple others, I may have missed it, but it looks like it may be the 17's to be safe?

Are you talking about the R56 JCW Brembos? Those require 17" wheels to fit, and not every 17" wheel will fit.

Wow.... I never thought I'd fall in love with a set of wheels, but these RBs are really starting to grow on me.

Anyone have pix of a dark silver MINI w. silver RBs? Just tying to visualize which would look better: silver or hyper black

At the moment I'm on S-Winders....

Anybody have a photo of a Hyper Blue Mini with either a silver or hyper black RB set on it? So far I've only seen the one and it was a convertible. I would like to see a silver RB on a Hyper Blue Mini. I really like the looks of the RB's and am trying to narrow down my choices...and lighter than my OEM 17" wheels would be a real bonus. +1 on Braminator's post. How much does the set of 4 go for?
