help with lug bolts...

Im looking for a new set of lug bolts since I got new wheels. I dont want to put the ugly black ones back on. I checked TSW and it seems they are out of the M12 stud kit. Being an old VW guy I checked my other sources...

I found these at NGP M12 x 1.5 thread pitch. My question is 24mm the right length?? What style seat do we have cone or ball?? Im sure 24 is the standard lenght and sizes like 26, 28, 32 etc would be for wheels with spacers.

A place I buy a few things lists the ones below...and then has ones on a pull-down for use with spacers. They do show the MINI uses standard BMW length ones....

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html...BMW-WHEEL-BOLT

Whether you are looking to replace your old stock wheel lug bolts, or need longer bolts to accommodate wheel spacers or for other special considerations, our wheel bolts are probably what you need. They are high grade (10.9) and feature a durable silver finish. These are 12 x 1.5mm bolts with a 17mm head -- as used on most BMWs. Also available in black!

The standard length wheel bolts are for stock BMWs, and the longer length bolts are listed below (select your length with the drop down box) with the size / thickness wheel spacers they are suitable for. Longer wheel bolts are the same price as the stock sized bolts, and are available in lengths to work with spacers up to 25mm thick. Please select your desired length below (default is the standard/stock BMW length bolt).

While they are not a vendor, a quick search did not show this item for sale by our vendors, or at least in their websites. I hope it helps.

help with lug bolts...

In addition to Turner Motorsport, Mini Mania a NAM Vendor, has the stock bolts:

NGP Racing's bolts, 24mm, are too short. The stock length is 28mm.

Hope this helps...

yeah thanks for the help, NGP does have 28mm bolts available.

I checked MiniMania, 16 bolts plus shipping is $64.03. NGP is $68.97 shipped. Only difference is the bolts from NGP are chromed finish

Keep in mind that Gen 1 bolts are different then Gen 2 bolts. Gen 2's are 17mm head, 14 mm width of bolt and 28 mm long. Gen 1 bolts are 12mm width.

Wheel Locks

Does anyone have a recommendation as to where I might find a set of black wheel lock bolts for my '05 MCS? Also, I am thinking of adding a 5mm spacer to the rear. Will the standard length bolts still work with that mod? Maybe I should just go to the 12 or 15mm. Hell it's only a half an inch...

I got my long lug bolts at RAD USA. I added 16mm spacers so needed longer bolts. See this site: http://www.radusadirect.com/category...__taper__seat/
