H&R Spacer Review

So I didn't really like the look of the stock wheels and how they aligned with wheel wells etc. After reviewing lots of reviews etc. online of pro's and con's of spacers I decided to go ahead with 12mm fronts and 15mm rears. I ordered
H&R Spacers 2455664 and 3055664. I don't know the part number for the lugs. I did a google search for the part number and the cheapest place that came up was Race Consulting agency. I talked to a sales guy and he told me he could sell me H&R lugs/studs as well. 2x weeks later I got everything vie fedx package.

My initial impression is that the studs they sold me were longer than necessary. Ie when I compared the olds studs to the new and the depth of the spacers the new studs were unnecessarily long. I installed with grease on face of spacers (I read online that it helps keep them from sticking long term), from what I could tell the spacers didn't contact anything after tightening. I tightened studs to 101lbs with torque wrench.

I could be wrong on this, but I do feel it changes the ride...
-Cornering feels more planted?
-Turn in zig zag back and forth feels slower or more damped?
-The car feels less tippy?
-Road noise increased?
-Car looks much better.

Not sure if anyone else who has installed spacers can chime in on any of these points or things they've noticed.

Looks good. On almost every mini ive own, first thing i always did was H&R springs and spacers. And yes you can feel a difference once your cornering hard. Plus it makes the stance look way better.

Looks good we sell the H&R spacers, but more of our WMW 15mm spacers as they are much more cost effective.

Of course we have longer lug bolts
http://www.waymotorworks.com/extra-l...lug-bolts.html
and also stud conversion kits
http://www.waymotorworks.com/m14x1.2...-stud-kit.html

I just wish I could find everyone looking for wheel spacers before they get H&R, they are just expensive for what they are so I try to make mine very cost effective.

Did the Race Shop sell you H&R bolts in black or silver and you painted them?
Car looks great BTW!

They came as black. I think painting them wouldn't last. The black of the bolts seems to be pretty baked through, ie doesnt' scratch off etc.
